  1. Some general feedback: Suebi look a lot like the Gauls in their building layout. Maybe they could have different ones. Their texture set is a bit too saturated. I think some assets from DE could be reused @wowgetoffyourcellphone might know more. There is some nasty UVMapping on the buildings, stretching, tearing etc, would be nice to fix it.

  2. I'm absolutely against pre-defining the 0-9 hotkeys. While I usually have my first CC, and maybe my second CC too, on 0 (=source), they usually become obsolete as a production facility eventually. (Producing champions and whatnot at other buildings.) btw I think the mod "autociv" has more hotkeys, but I never looked into it.

  3. Would it be cool to add another civ to the game after this alpha? It's too late for A27, but A28 or A29 is definitely doable. New civs are a nice way to add content and also keep the game fresh. There are many excellent options to choose from. It's also perfectly okay to choose 'No.' Either way, it'd be good to state reasons.

  4. For me, it's probably the roof texture that looks too similar to the Gauls and Britons. I think the texture I posted above is an improvement of making them look more distinct. For the Stables, I think I'm too used to the "Horse Corral" from DE and which maybe something more like that would be done. I'm also not sure if the early Germans (whether Cimbri or Suebians) would have a big Siege Arsenal structure, but we might have to make it necessary since all of the other civs have one. That is a civ design issue though, not art.

  5. For certain buildings the size is Standard. The military or creation of troops must meet that standard, as well as the CC.

  6. @ikluEnsure that the audio device that you plan to use is connected to your computer well before you start up 0ad, as 0ad doesn't seem to be able to pivot to a different audio output device at runtime. Also, ensure that you have the correct audio device configured as the default output device in playback devices before starting 0ad. Are you using HDMI audio output? 0ad may have a bug with HDMI audio output. Consider helping us resolve the bug by testing hotfixes. It would be necessary to setup a build environment and test patches. Or, consider using a different audio output device. If it's still not resolved then see the FAQ answer to the question "No sound, no audio, or 0 A.D. is the only app with sound".

  7. Neck cloth seems nice to add to give variety to the unit textures, it could be player color along with waist cloth and abdomen cloth.

  8. One is a resource the other not, there is no inconsistency here. This is the same as AoE2 AFAIR.

  9. It takes time to implement, it's still under development.

  10. That really makes it a lot easier, luckily the actors and the simulation are already separated for the most part. Perhaps it's the case that units used art from the official 0ad and this created an error with updates? I am currently developing with the very important help (heavy work) of @Duileoga some civs, my idea is to develop them as much as possible in a separate mode and when they are in their maturity add to terra magna, thus releasing it to the lay public that does not use github for example .

  11. I helped export these models modeled by @Duileoga with concepts by @Obskiuras They are already sported in this Github repository (https://github.com/0ADMods/suebian_art) my initial thought is to use these models for this already existing civ in the mod.

  13. I saw a reference like that somewhere, it was a kind of Groove with an altar with the armor of its enemies around it.

  15. We could have a couple native american civilizations that can be represented at this time. Central America has the Olmecs and Zapotecs (although we have little to nothing on the Olmecs so its unlikely), and the maya in the yucatan as you have mentioned. South America has the Chavin and Nazca (with the latter just squeezing in at 100 bce). Personally I would like to see the a North American culture represented like the Hopewell, but similar to the Olmecs, very little is known and therefore unlikely.

  16. try not to put Age of... and also that 0 is alphanumeric and goes first in the game lists.

  17. Goths could have the no- territory nomadic gameplay. Suebians could have weak buildings and ox carts like nomads but still have territory (Early germanics did not migrate as far, Tacitus says tribes where proud of how much empty land surrounded their settlements.) .
