The problem here is by being negative all the time and trolling, not only are you guys making fools of yourselves but also making this place annoying for other people. I'd rather not have to delete, mute, ban, and I'd rather instead work on the game, but I can't let you spread hate, troll, or feed other trolls, or just be toxic. If you want to contribute making this game more popular please do so, by either contributing, sharing the game, making videos, playing the game, or organizing tournaments.6 points

I have this idea, that I should flesh out in a mod, of having civilisations "Tiers", and only trying to balance inside intra-tier, not extra-tier. That would allow for more diversity imo, while still allowing balanced gameplay.3 points

Here we see the nature when push comes to shove. You didn't like censorship, but then you get offended when it strikes back at you. I wasn't even trying to be funny. Rather I was trying to get you see what you were trying to pull... (saying that the Forums isn't for children anymore, and asking if it's a facist thing to do). Now I'm being called a hypocrite by the one who can't take a dose of his own medicine.2 points

Yeah this forum isn't for a 7-year old. So we shouldn't use childish language (i.e. cussing). Also, I don't see the admins complaining about low-quality community. All I see are low-quality members complaining about good moderation. Finally, if the system was removed, will it improve the game? I think not.2 points

I'm not denying that the hoplites and their fighting style was one of the most beautiful/dreadful/efficient things in the world at the time. Truly one of history's greatest warriors. I'm merely pointing to the fact that the Ancient Greeks themselves literally referred to Egyptian melee infantry formations as "phalanx": "φάλαγγα τῶν Αἰγυπτίων" (phalanx of the Egyptians), http://www.perseus.tufts.edu/hopper/text?doc=Perseus%3Atext%3A1999.01.0203%3Abook%3D7%3Achapter%3D1%3Asection%3D39 In a story set in the 6th century BC, no less, written down in the the 4th century BC, indicating that Egyptians continued using phalanx formation for at least c. 500 years after the collapse of the New Kingdom. My argument was that there's no reason to think that it fell out of use in Nile Valley warfare, and it evidently didn't.1 point

The word phalanx is only meaning a tight formation working as a wall with spear hedge. The word has been applied several times for the Gauls. But clearly the Greeks and the Hellenes were those that push the concept to its maximum.1 point

I don't think the Stoa units should be champions to be honest. They should just be merc citizen-soldiers. I actually wish they were removed and the stoa used for something else other than just a barracks.1 point

What, your family murdered by tents or something? Looks nice, was made by very skilled artists working like slaves in some instances. Only thing I’m opposed to here is the milking of AC1 point

In other words they were giving product placement for 0 A.D. this early. That's an impressive marketing campaign.1 point
