I'm really not understanding what you are looking for. What I'm seeing in this thread is someone coming to complain about something not being noticed or cared about, several months after it was cared about enough to be included in the game. And I'm certainly not seeing how people pointing to your contribution being cared about can be seen as something either entitled or rude. People did indeed display confusion and amusement at your angry comments contrasted to the reality being opposite of what you were suggesting, which might not be polite, but which certainly is understandable given how surprising they were. People cannot edit their posts without moderators and admins being able to see it, so either you are likely to have misunderstood or just misremembered it. Either way, my main reason for commenting was that I was genuinely confused. Especially why you tried to continue making something an issue where there never was one to begin with. At least not apart from possible miscommunication or similar. Which is of course serious, but which certainly isn't going to be helped if you are looking for insults and issues.

Well, maybe where I mentioned the part of your message that I deleted I've forgotten the exact word you used, but it was worse than stupid, so maybe you shouldn't question your own words, but rather try to choose them more carefully before writing them.

@JC (naval supremacist) In a way you was the one who sent it to his screen, so I'm not sure how offensive it was that he recorded that you sent it. And while shut up might not be a polite way to say no thanks it's a long way away from even calling people cowards as you did just before, but certainly from racial slurs. I really don't see how you even jokingly can see yourself as a gentleman in this situation.

I just committed a tool to easily setup water height for maps. Just select the tool and click on a terrain where you want a plane of water (if you need more precision just zoom in). No need to spend time with the water slider anymore

It's already in SVN (you can get it by downloading last SVN). And it'll be in the next release (A24).

Welcome to the forums! Using cheat codes is only possible if they are enabled before the game starts. In that case, the game shows a warning next to the I'm ready button and the match is automatically set to an unrated one. Using cheat codes in a cheat-enabled game is not against the rules because that's what the players agree to play when they hit the ready button. I recommend either asking the host to disable the cheat settings, or making some planes by typing how do you turn this on? in the chat window after the game starts. Enjoy the choice!

Nonetheless, after re-reading this entire thread from beginning to end, I'm quite at a loss and genuinely don't understand what exactly is the issue here. Perhaps you could elaborate? Anyone can edit their own posts, there is nothing wrong with that. However, if a post is edited, it will clearly show so (see e.g. @Krinkle's above). And no, I don't have moderator rights; if I had, my name would show up in a different colour. Nor do I understand what that would have to do with this discussion. Indeed, why not?

I really don't get it. Do you want to be banned from both the lobby and the forums? What is it you are looking for? Because if not you should be careful inviting others to provide more and more proof of your bad behaviour. There have been people supporting you, saying there are real world causes for your behaviour and that you have tried to behave better. Right now though almost everything I see seems to indicate that you for some reason don't want to even try to be a nice person. Punishment rarely helps to change someones behaviour, but at least banning you would make the place nicer for others.

As everybody knows, so people spend too much time playing 0AD. If banning people by ip is possible, would it be possible to either limit access to the lobby (like 1-2 hours per day) , either possible to create temporal account expiring after 24h ? It could be a nice service to offer to parents wanting to limit games access of their offspring.

Or did you stop following your own patch after 5 days from last update? Even if that change would be rejected, it is not end of the world. Not sure what I can say, but in either case I've not edited the post, nor has Nescio. I'm certainly not wanting you to feel disappointed, but I'm not going to lie just to make you feel better. I hope you will want to keep being a part of the community around 0 A.D. and contribute to it for many years to come, but then you need to be mature enough to admit that things might be different to how you want them to be. There aren't 100s of reviewers for every patch submitted, there isn't the time to write an essay on each and every suggestion or discussion that's posted on the forums, etc etc. The team members are at least as disappointed with that as anyone else, but that doesn't change things. If you have constructive suggestions for how to improve things feel free to offer them, but just complaining about something that then turns out to be the opposite of what you claim doesn't help anyone.

I don't think we need more accounts. To hide your rating is unfair and frustraiting for beginner players. But what we realy need in my opinion, is a separate rating for team games. Me and my mates, had only a few 1vs1 games when we start to play 0.A.D.. So our rating is low. Some of them have even no rating. Now we had playen a hundrets of team games, but we almost always hear at the beginning, that the teams are unbalanced, because our ratings are so low. In the opposit there are many noobs with a to high rating. So the currently rating is a bit usless and sometimes even obstructive.

I don't really see why you are arguing all the wrong things. It doesn't really change that much if you insulted the person saying something or those reacting to what was said.

If you want to change the situation, maybe explain why you think the banning is not warranted? You say that he has banned you multiple times, that does seem to indicate that you have created multiple accounts, in which case the bans would be justified. Right now there is very little to support your argument (and if anything what you say suggests that you are wrong), so it's hard to see any reason why the bans wouldn't be justified.

I'm pretty sure most people would drown. Have you ever swam with all your clothes on? We had to learn it during our swimming lessons, and man, I can tell you, swimming with clothes on is a good way to drown. Imagine trying to swim in armor, while panic-stricken... The only thing that annoys me about units dying when a ship goes down, is if it goes down really close to the shore, where other units can just stand in the shallows without a problem... Seems a little unnecessary. But I assume it would be really difficult to code...

Hello, the main problem with classical tournament system is that some good players can be disqualified in firsts rounds if they have to challenge other good players. Here below, I made a little picture of a different tournament system which works pretty simply and give a full stable ranking of players. 1° Display players (here, 8 for example) randomly 2° For each Round and for each color, 2 players have to fight 3° The winner will go in the upper color, and the loser in the downer color 4° Repeat Rounds until the ranking seems to stabilize (can create a stat for that) or after an arbitrary number of rounds (but at least 4 rounds if 8 players) ---> Final - 1 5° For the final, in each color, the winner will occupy the first place

Just a few months ago, I submitted my first contribution to 0 A.D. as a patch for this issue. It was tagged "beginner" by @Imarok. But either feature creep or no room for a newcomer like me? Idk I tried. So ...metaphorically speaking, and sadly too (which is why I'm expressing it) "Diminishing Returns" seems so far to describe the investment of my interest and time toward 0 A.D. in the less than four months since I came here to be a modder, mapper and FOSS contributor. I would point out that a more sensible simulation would be to add people to work the land and improve the yield (not diminish it). But that would have been beyond the scope of this issue. The DR mechanic is being mis-applied as a "feature" when it would be better used to sim other gameplay dynamics. So yeah, no one else here cares about my contribution, so you probably shouldn't either?
