Hi All, just a quick update. I've spent the last week doing some field recording (forests, streams & rivers, waterfalls, weapons, etc.) while on holiday here in New England. I even managed to track down some chickens and some draft horses to record! I now have about 5 GB of audio to ingest, clean up, and cut up, which should keep me busy for a few weeks/months. I also have plans to go and get some new shore sounds hopefully around the end of the month too. Obviously this will be a slow, ongoing recording project, but I just figured I'd let you know what I've been up to so you don't think I just ran off. As I get things cut up and processed, I'd like to figure out a way to share them with you all before integrating them into the game. It's a bit too many files to upload individually to a site like Instaudio, so I was thinking about putting them in a dropbox. Here are a few environments that I can't gather myself without great personal expense- Desert Jungle Mediterranean If someone who lives in one of those climates is interested in the task (it requires being in or going to a rural enough location where you can find a spot without audible automobile traffic), I am happy to provide instructions and suggest very affordable equipment that can do the job well enough.5 points

That's why I read this forum. I mean, how do you even know such thing...2 points

There are a couple of barrels included in that barracks. Please remove them. They're a Celtic invention. Barrels were only gradually adopted by the Romans in imperial times (post AD).2 points

True, but I thought it was a nice parallel at first and helped people understand which vanilla release was compatible. And what if there are 22 more alpha releases? lmao, I'd have to skip 0.0.23! But yeah, maybe I'll start the numbering over again at 0.0.02 or something.1 point

Mainly yes, but with a way of uploading maps from inside Atlas. And separated from the mod uploads. With an image showing what the map looks like.1 point

As already said in some other places, there is imho a better solution: Wfg hosts rated games without simulating it but stores the replay. If the players send the same result it is counted. Only if the results differ, which should happen quite rarely, we simulate the stored replay (automatically or manually) to get the real result. Of course we should also admonish the player that sent the false report and ban/kick him/her if it happens multiple times.1 point

Hi I would like to report some bugs. The minuteman/militia unit for the kokirI does not have an animation for mining rupees. Also was it intended for the gohma to not have the shared allied vision tech?1 point

No one ever trusts me. It's why I'm not a joiner. lol One need only a small amount of imagination to imagine some changes made to the FOW renderer to render the mountain in the black map prior to being discovered (could be an actor tag), so that it just doesn't pop into existence. We could use such a tag for certain large objects (such as Wonders). Something like this could be the basis for an "Open Pit" stone quarry. https://sketchfab.com/models/9fe7d680d62e470b8810524f712f9cb51 point

What about just using foreign mountains from sketchfab? (And scale, change poltcount where needed) E.g.: https://sketchfab.com/models/2017916480d74e4099ce70f69a9fd22c (Unknown license, so we need to ask the author if wanted) https://sketchfab.com/models/9fe7d680d62e470b8810524f712f9cb5 (CC-BY) https://sketchfab.com/models/944b20dfffc648ff902ba9c3f59c6b8a (CC-BY)1 point

I would like a way of downloading user made maps from inside of the game like the new mod downloader. With a way of uploading a map from inside Atlas.1 point

Roman barracks and walls are getting a rework, don't worry about them. I'll see what I can do about the civic centers and the corresponding decal issue it brings up. This could be a very interesting 'drop prop' opportunity as well. Doors are a must for fortresses, I'm not sure what happened there to be quite honest. If someone else tackles the doors, make sure they're sturdy wooden doors and not portcullises, latter is a staple of medieval castles, also another reason to remake the Roman barracks Does someone know if the Mauryan palace one of those eyecandy buildings that was decided to be buildable in-game? I haven't played them in a good long while...1 point

Well... Looks like chimney was bad idea... But I still hope developers will not abandon to build in missed gates at fortresses and at some other structures such as Mauryan Palace. Also fix roman barracks texture and do something with hellenic tiles and shifted to the right main buildings of Athenians and Macedonians. Luckily Spartans civil centre have correct position of main building.1 point

GNU/Linux and mac OS people can't install Hyrule Conquest, because it's a windows installer. (I don't know which format that ClickTeam Installer uses, I couldn't unzip/unrar/un7zip the exe on linux except with wine.) Maybe it's easier to just distribute a zip or pyrogenesis file of the mod? Or as an alternative download format? I guess the installer exe file counts as distributing the source of the modified files, but you must also include the license_gpl-2.0.txt and mention which files are licensed under that (the javascript ones) and the creative commons one for art files that came from Wildfire Games, see LICENSE.txt for which license applies to which file. Are the other art files licensed correctly? There is stargus for example which comes with free source code but requires the user to provide the starcraft files, this way stargus doesn't distribute any files that they don't have the right to use. 0 A.D. started as a total conversion mod of AoE2 too in 2001.1 point

The Kingdom of Kush: A Random Visual Reference Update You might have noticed that I'm taking a break from the Kushites, but that doesn't mean the research has ended. After the re-release of alpha 23, I'll post a list of some further suggestions to get this faction from 95% to 100%. In the meantime, have a look at some new finds, and a handful of higher quality versions of images shared before:1 point

Actually you can use circles as well. Ungarrison/unit spawn does seem to end up at the edge of the footprint area though. EDIT: After digging around I found out that both selectable and footprint are hard coded, and there currently isn't any way to define the selection shape to be different from the footprint. It shouldn't be too hard to fix, but even if I do it won't be available until a24. Also I don't know why people keep insisting that damage types are hard coded. Damage types are defined entirely in javascript and are completely moddable, although there may be a few different files that need to be changed for it to work. It's not really any different from resources though.1 point

I think that is not that, just they can implement every random idea (including mine) and satisfy everyone.1 point
