Scythians would be great to add for the main game, while the Xiongnu for Terra Magna. re: Champions. I've done a lot of reading on the Han. Too much reading, actually, and I didn't take notes. lol, so now I have to go back and read again. But... one thing I did take from my reading what at various times during the empire, the emperors would create different "guard" units for different purposes. For instance, at one point there was a guard unit created specifically to guard the gates to the palace. And these guys would go with the emperor on hunts. This kind of things is all over the place. So, for the infantry champion, I was thinking of something kind of generic, like "Palace Guard." A champion infantry archer which can switch to spear or two-handed sword and back to bow again. For the cavalry champion, I was thinking a heavy lancer that can do the same thing, switch to bow and then back to lance. I do this kind of thing in DE, successfully, with the Mauryan Maiden Archer. This would be the Qin Men Guard Cavalry? Anyway, here's what I got for the Palace Guard Archer -- Hu Ben? --and his sword version: I was thinking of giving them new shield textures. I also think the feathers on their helmets should be bigger and more flamboyant. Should they be more casually dressed? @wolflance @Ayakashi Also, maybe the tall feather things on their backs can go on the Imperial Guard Cavalry, Qin Men?3 points

I thought I'd ask some questions related to the non-visual autostart. Is there a way to adjust the speed to be faster than 20x? I was thinking it could be useful as an auto-resolve for a campaign mode idea I had. Will the full JSON summary file output be added later? (The current summary output seems to be lacking details compared to the regular summary JSON file.)1 point

The Kingdom of Kush: Documentaries (screenshots) In this post, I will be discussing three different documentaries about the Kushites, and providing screenshots. The documentaries featured are: Discovery Channel - Nubia, The Forgotten Kingdom PBS/National Geographic - Rise of the Black Pharaohs PBS - Africa's Great Civilizations (ep. 1- 2) All three of these documentaries will offer a concise description of Kushite/Nubian history and offer rich visuals, as well as archaeological excavations. A good stop for anyone trying to get a quick insight in to this complicated history. One of the most useful references I was able source from these docu's, is a complete three-dimensional reconstruction of the Amun Temple in Dangeil, including the temenos walls and gorgeous pylon gate: Nubia, The Forgotten Kingdom (2003) This one hour documentary about the history of the Nubian Kingdom (Kush) features two archaeologists, Julie Anderson and Salah Ahmed, as they unearth a massive temple to Amun in the ancient Kushite city of Dangeil. It also narrates the history of the war with Rome and features some modest historic reenactments, as well as impressive 3d reconstructions of the entire Amun temple complex, both exterior and interior decorations are clearly shown. They made one major mistake, in erroneously identifying the reigning queen at the time of the Roman war as Amanishakheto, while in actuality it was Amanirenas, probably due to the documentary being made in 2003, when the exact dating of the ruling monarchs was more sketchy. Rise of the Black Pharaohs (2014) A more recent, and visually compelling documentary about the history of Kush, centering on the 25th dynasty and the Napatan period. This 54 min long docu focusses on the earliest archaeological excavations, and the controversial history behind this history. The archaeologists Geoff Emberling and Tim Kendall re-examine an ancient Napatan pyramid and the spiraling peak of Jebel Barkal, still bearing 2700 year hieroglyphs commissioned by Taharqa himself. Africa's Great Civilizations (ep. 1- 2) In Africa's Great Civilizations, Louis Henry Gates travels all corners of the continent, visiting archaeological sites and talking to experts and historians about a number of great African civilizations. The first two episodes talk extensively about Kush, and features some very nice cinematography, and shots of statues and reliefs. The narrater over-emphasises the blackness and Africanness of the people he's discussing (as if to prove the point that Africans achieved high levels of civilization throughout history), but a lot of really nice information is shared. Definitely worth a watch. Quality torrents of all three documentaries exist, but shhh, you didn't hear that from me….1 point

Thanks @wowgetoffyourcellphone. I'm thinking of a space here in the website, similar to the Heaven Games, wherein we, the community, can upload our works and let others download them. This way, it'll be easy to try and review/ comment on other people's hard works of art.1 point

Working on a Han Chinese blacksmith tech tree. Here is a possibility. By the way, seeking ideas based on history. Aura Imperial Armories: Unlock the Imperial Armory aura which reduces the wood and metal costs for soldiers and siege weapons by a fixed amount for each blacksmith built. Limit of 5. Phase II Pair 1: Unlike for all other civs, for the Han Chinese this pair is not necessary to unlock all other blacksmith techs. They simply take 2x as long to research. Forging: Blacksmith techs -25% cost. Metallurgy: Blacksmith techs -50% research time. Pair 2-A Crossbow Standardization: Crossbow Infantry and Crossbow Cavalry +10% attack and -10% cost. Bamboo Longbows: Archer Units and Ranged Buildings +10% attack and +10% range. Pair 3-A Iron Spearheads: Spear Infantry and Spear Cavalry +20% attack. Ironworking: Sword Infantry and Sword Cavalry +10% attack and -25% metal cost. Phase III Pair 3-B Unknown - Infantry Based: Need ideas. Unknown - Infantry Based: Need ideas. Pair 4-A Unknown - Cavalry Based: Need ideas. Unknown - Cavalry Based: Need ideas. Pair 5-A Unknown - Champion Based: Need ideas. Unknown - Champion Based: Need ideas. Why do I have a feeling nobody likes this idea, apart from us guys who participated here?1 point

The game needs move-attack ability. Ability to swing sword, etc., at fleeing target when chasing.1 point

The repository can be found here: https://github.com/0ADMods/terra_magna The ModDB page of Rise of the East will be altered for the Terra Magna. Rise of the East's subforum will also be altered. Yet, for a proper transformation I need some things like a logo (which is in progress) and a few showcasing screenshots (there is a showcase scenario being made). As soon as I have everything I need I will perform the official transition from Rise of the East to Terra Magna with an announcement and everything (I want to introduce the transformation properly)1 point

I like when terrain is very important and I have to plan how to exploit it best. One thing 0AD does not have that I enjoy is units with unique names that upgrade with experience to become legendary soldiers. Yes, units can gain two levels of proficiency but I would like to see them promoted further and have names so I can keep track of them and build a story around them.1 point

Yes in all modes is fine. But for me single player mode is perfect. Because the majority of us spend time in single player mode so its the primary mode. And I do like vsing the AI1 point
