Dear community, recently there has been a lack of 0 AD Tournaments. For that reason i will cast tonight a small 1v1 tournament. It will be pretty vanilla, played on mainland balanced, 8 players in total. single elemination. Known accounts only. 8 best players that sign up will play. One round for quater and semi finals, bo3 for finals. I will try to stream as many of the games as possible. Pairings will be announced 10 min before start. Reward = small graphic designed by me. I think part of the reason music is not always respected as an art is that many people only consume it passively, without really experiencing it. But when you actually go to a concert and feel the energy, it changes the way you see music completely

Hey, I've gotten back into coding a little bit, and I'd like to try to make a cool bot for the game lobby (not the general lobby). Does anyone have any hello-world lobby bot to help me get started? My idea is make something for choosing teams. An initial version might work like this: The host writes "/captains <user1> <user2>" The bot gives feedback listing all the users and asking user1 to choose someone. Then the bot asks user2 to make TWO choices of team members. Then it alternates until the teams are full. After every choice, the bot lists the teams, and the available spectators. Edge cases: If the host gives the command again, the process starts again. If a chosen team member leaves the process starts again. (or else we can rely on the host re-starting the selection) That's about it for version 1. The host can be burdened with setting the actual teams. The bot can simply produce text output. If anyone can point me in the right direction, I'd appreciate it.

I got confused by the template name "cataphract mixin", thinking it was applying only to cataphract. No I don't think they need additional nerf, the speed debuff might already remove too much of there utility and still have them as strong as frontliner. I guess we'll see, if the counter damage increase for spears have been dismissed already. Yes but actually 'normal' champ cav only get HP debuff, so net nerf, against all including against inf there (If I'm not mistaken again).

me too, but I don't have an idea to replace it. So since we are talking about nerfs, better to just nerf it for now. (+100 hp is crazy)

bactrian cav also get the 'cataphract mixin'. So they are currently receiving the same nerf. Do you think they should be nerfed extra? If so, I'd probably disqualify them from getting the nisean war horse tech, making that tech unique to sele. yeah that's the idea. It creates a more noticeable difference between cataphract units and regular champ cav.

I don't like this tech. It lacks originality and is OP. I would prefer it to be replaced with something entirely different. I don't get this either. Basically the nerf is to make them slower and lower their special health tech? That's fine, i guess, relative to other cav. But all melee champ cav remains OP vs inf.

Bactrians Chavs are have the same stats as Cataphract in a27, they are used more often for champ cav because of the Persian pop bonus. So they'll be nerfed more then Catapharct, intentionally? Your armor and HP changes barely change cav HP equivalent, but lowered it's speed, so they'll be worse at chasing other cavs but as good against infantry. A bit less map control too.

Capture is pure @#&#036;%, even with men inside you can't defend a barack or a cc. Up the garnison defense by troop.. please . We need also have a reflection about what players want about towers sytems. about nerf champ cav melee, not a big nerf is needed, we don't need fix the issue right now, just mitigate the issue. A little nerf damage and delete HP tech 10% and hp tech for selucid and perses is enough for have an opinion. About giving little bonus to each civ, for me it's bad, it too much age of empire 2 like. but as you want. I prefer we have a commun tree tech and some difference (unit, building or bonus).

Are you sure? II believe it may be available in the SVN version ahead of time.
