wackyserious
Thanks, I'm planning to complete this faction mod before December, a Holiday gift for everyone. I'll see what I can do about the player color

jaimele
Sidon, Mother City of Phoenicia(anyone know how to modify the map so that there's not a black ring around the edge? I want to make screenshots looking out at sea, but it doesn't look natural with the solid black streak along the horizon.)

Wijitmaker
Great maps, just need to get some shots with some improved graphic settings and they would be spectacular
jaimele
Thank you very much! Here's another one with high graphics Anyone know how to get rid of the black horizon? Edited January 15, 2016 by jaimele
niektb
There is that option in the map xml: "CircularMap": true,If you would set that to false at least the black circle would be gone I think.Beware though that this is a deprecated feature and it should not be used if it it's not necessary (though one fairly safe use-case might be showcasing) since it could lead to errors and whatnot. jaimele
so, i changed circular map to false, saved it and exited. didnt do anything. then i realized after saving it switches back to "true" Not sure why its not letting me edit :/ Edited January 16, 2016 by jaimele
wackyserious
Not really a fan of the Roman Republic = Red, part of the mini realism actor files mod that I'm currently working with. No new texture files, I just tweaked the actor file texture materials. Dyed and undyed tunics, plus, painted and plain leather covered scutum (Sacrificing player_color, playing Republican Romans vs. Republican Romans would be a total mess ) Note: My Mordor faction mod won't be out for quite some time, I'm sorry, I haven't worked on any contents for the Mordor faction mod (Planned release date was last December but I wasn't able to allocate time to work on it.

Lion.Kanzen
I love the idea to have ruins in the eyecandy, can be nice Ancient abandoned temples surrounded by plants.
wackyserious
@Lion.Kanzen Yes, that was what I had on my mind, something like this (Though I am not sure if this is architecturally correct..) )
Lion.Kanzen
@wackyseriousmaybe more complex, I will find more suitable,, the textures need be more damaged by the time and weather. like that Tv show the "Earth without humans" Spoiler Edited April 27, 2016 by Lion.Kanzen
wackyserious
Maybe I can add vine props above the ruin meshes, I still can't model advanced things like arches.. Textures are dependent on roman_struct2.dds texture Currently there are 3 meshes, obstructions are the same as the stone fence I discussed the other planned pieces here, Edited April 27, 2016 by wackyserious
Enrique
I'm 70% sure there's already a temple ruins eyecandy actor in atlas. Not currently at home so can't 100% confirm.

niektb
But that one isn't really complex or so (I think it could be made more interesting)
Stan`
Best way would be to "ruinify" generic civs temples, but that's another thing.
LordGood
Ruins of the current age? nooo we need to delve into the history of a region, and ruins are a fantastic way to go about that, Theres a good opportunity for early classical and pre-antiquity peripteral temple ruins, or even the cyclopian ruins at Mycenae and Tiryns. Ziggurats would be fun too. But all of this belongs in its own thread, if anyone would like to do the honors of starting one when the ruin ball gets rolling
