  1. mainlog.htmlinterestinglog.html Here are the log files, hopefully that helps you to find the error.
  2. I installed the latest github version of Delenda Est Mod and I am on A25 svn. When I entered a game with the Ptolemies these errors came up: I chose Cleopatra as the hero and she couldn't be trained. Otherwise the mod looks brilliant, especially the themes and new civs. @wowgetoffyourcellphone
  3. Yes that is exactly what I was thinking! I almost named the unit 'D'derridex' Romulans are my favourite civ
  4. Experiment shows that 3:2 ratio of skirmishers to pikemen are the most effective against archers.
  5. I think we can implement these dudes into Empires Ascendant as well.
  6. That is actually a good idea man
  7. Do you think we can swap her red dress with some linothorax armour? Also we can give her a helmet and a weapon of some sort. Maybe an archer infantry hero? Spartans don't have archers and a single hero could make a difference.
  8. Which parchment? I just copied it from public then opened it with gimp and smudged the paper texture.
  9. Maths: The maths is probably not ideal because it is some random formula that I came up with. However, here are some thoughts: The points gained/lost is related to the difference between your current points. The points of average players should be in the hundreds to thousands (order of magnitude of 2 to 3) (difference in rating / rating) would give a number close to 1 in most circumstances, then multiplying this by 100 allows the decimal points to have an effect. In team games scores are more important, so if you are below the average score then you lose points, but not too much because the TG scores tend to be in tens of thousands so the differences should be relatively minor. Example calculation: if a 1400 player defeats a 1800 player, with scores being 9000 and 5000 respectively: points gained by 1400 player = ceil ((1800 - 1400)/1800 * (4000/7000)* 1000) = 127 points lost by 1800 player = floor( (1800 - 1400)/1800 * (4000/7000) * 1000) = 126
  10. Explanation: The idea of this system is you can't hide your true skills and smurf just by not playing any 1v1 matches. Also, players starting at 1200 is a bit ridiculous; some people who have just joined the lobby do not deserve that score meanwhile some others have worked very hard to restore their points to 1200. Having players starting at 1200 is likely to mess up team games as you don't know their real skill. At the same time, you cannot farm points or destroy your rating by carefully picking your opponents. Meanwhile, team games should also count towards the rating and players in the losing team who held up against multiple opponents should be rewarded, just like the weak player who was carried by stronger teammates are penalised.
  11. There are many complaints about the current rating system, for example quit without resigning, plausibility of smurf and overrrated/underrated players. So let's create a new rating calculation system that works better? I have one in mind, please comment your thoughts: 1. All new players start with 0 points 2. A player can only gain points by defeating someone who has an equal or higher rating than you. 3. If you defeat a higher ranked player: Points gained = ceil( (opponent rating - your rating)/opponent rating * abs(difference in total scores)/ average total score * 1000) 4. If you defeat someone of equal rating (unlikely): points gained = 1 5. If you are defeated by someone who has a lower rating than you, you lose points. Points lost = floor( (your rating - opponent rating) / your rating * abs(difference in total score)/ average total score * 1000) 6. For team games, the top 4 players (in terms of total score) gain points and the 4 less well played players lose points. Points gained / lost = floor( (your total score - average score) / average score) * 100) 7. You do not lose points if you are defeated by someone who has higher rating than you. 8. A player's score cannot be below 0. If the score should become negative then just make it 0.
  12. I am a fan of Macedon and the approach is either mass pike+skirms with champs and healers. Then send in empty siege towers to act as ambulance :p
  13. warbird.zip Here is the mod. Only Iber and Rome have access to it for now.
  14. A short video demonstration: 6 warbirds were used. warbird demo.webm
  15. Introducing a new unit: the warbird. It flies quickly through enemy territory, gathering information and harassing enemy workers. This unit could be made available to Romans and Iberians, as they used eagles for reconaissance and communication. Features: 1. Very fast speed (20m/s) 2. Some decent vision range 3. Can fly across any terrain, including water and extreme hills. 4. Very low health and attack 5. Trained at CCs. 6. Cheap price: 30 food, 5 metal. Defence towers and ranged infantry would be natural counters to this warbird; even women can punch them to death quite easily. Therefore, it cannot be used in any skirmishes / rushes and so would not tip the balance of the game too much, while adding a bit of extra fun to Roman and Iberian civs.
  16. If you are rich in metal, get champion spears and champion swords mixed into the phalanx of pikemen, and use skirmishers to do the main damage output. Use Phillip II Macedon to boost the champions. A trick is to have 1 or two empty siege towers with you to use as an ambulance for injured units. If you want to siege, get Demetrios poliorketes then spam siege towers or rams. Use some ground pikes and skirms to protect the siege. Another strategy is champion cavalry raids. Get Phillip II Macedon alongside some champion companion cavalry and raid the enemy bases, while turtling with the rest of your infantry force to keep your eco up. Would recommend you to bring healers with pikemen so that they become undying and research all weapons tech before going into battle. Use a bolt shooter for support against enemy archers.
  17. What do you think about this loading screen? I can delete the pink stuff if you want but what do you think about just the more plain background and the less scratched parchment?
  18. How exactly would you like me to repaint? I think I can handle simple requests.
  19. Where are the loading screen background files? I think I can edit the images
  20. Who is this she? I think the biggest fan of siege towers is probably weirdJokes, but I stand corrected. The thing is, I can't think of decent hero bonuses.
  21. Killing support units do not have that much of an effect in an actual engagement as the time you waste on killing support units means your soldiers are getting hurt by enemy projectiles while the enemy is not taking any damage, therefore, the aura is not too OP. However, if you are in a TG (unlikely) and your ally has a siege tower, then this aura can be very significant as you can take out the enemy's economy completely within seconds.
  22. The system works by multiplying the health of enemy units by a number very close to 0. The healer would probably have 5 to 10 health left, while women have one.
  23. @wraitii I can share mine. I think it is caused by nagasushi using a slightly different built to the rest of us. 2021-06-04_0034.zip
  24. Macabbeus is already there. Please just tell me the stats you want. Should these be infantry or cav? Judeans lack cav
  25. @Ceres this patch: https://code.wildfiregames.com/D4075 @Stan` @maroder please approve!
