  1. I am trying to make Age of Mythology mod compatible with A25. However, I have encountered many errors which I have never seen before. It would be helpful if someone can give me a detailed outline of what the mod does, including modifications to GUI and a roster of units /structures.
  2. Here is a collection of proposals on how to nerf elephants from other forums: 1. Decrease health, to perhaps 500-600? 2. Decrease armour 3. Give melee units hard counter against elephants?   3. Yesterday I discovered this amazing linux app called Akregator which can give you feeds. I was wondering if it could be used to fetch forum notifications and updates on trac? Also I would like to use Pidgin for 0AD IRC. Can someone show me how to?
  4. Which alpha is this mythology mod for? It adds athen, spart and Ptol but we have these already! Norse is a good one and I can try making it a single civ mod instead of adding 3 already existing civs.
  5. Here is a replay from A25 build 30th May 2021, svn. Some comments 1. Amazing graphics (not sure if everyone's pc can handle this) 2. Very fast pace, like in A23 3. Units stick together (good for melee pushes) 4. Unit pathfinder and duty queue are a little bit strange.   9. Sorry guys my school messed up our exams so we have to re-sit them. I won't be available until Friday evening UK time, but by then I would be liberated from the school so I can get onto SVN and TG.
  10. I played against 2 very hard and it was 30 minutes in. Probably caused by my PC running out of ram because I was also playing Youtube videos with Google Chrome in the background. I found a trend: this error only occurs on the developer edition of Windows. Linux has never experienced such issues. I think it could be related to Windows 10's poor management of system resources. My Youtube video also paused before this error had occurred.
  11. ProphetMohammad has already tried a women rush, and it didn't work. I also saw him pushing with 100 women. Didn't make a dent. If you research loom that might be better. But you inspired me to make a new unit: berserk women
  12. Ok sorry guys I misinterpreted your request. I will just take armour off women and animals then. That probably won't make a difference.
  13. I actually played a game with everything having 0 armour. It was an absolute disaster; my rams got killed by arrows from the civic centre. All of my pikemen died after marching past a few defence towers. Enemy spearmen are taken out in 1 hit, and archers pose a serious threat to any siege. So this is a very very bad idea. Please don't change anything.
  14. no-armour-mod.zip Here you go guys, everything except for champions and heroes have no armour. This is an absolute disaster, in my opinion. Any ranged unit is OP.
  15. I tried to change the armour value to 0, and suddenly all of the template files were reported to be invalid. I guess the problem lies in the maths behind it. However, I can attempt to change the value to 0.0001, which would be close enough to 0
  16. I have 8 GB ram and it's pretty tight if you are using windows. But 8 is more than enough for Linux.
  17. I just thought that individual embassies are more efficient, and probably more convenient for control groups.
  18. Whip attack? What is that? Since Jesus was quite a pacifist we can let him be the ultimate healing hero, with an aura effect that doubles the hp of all units within 40 metres. (Resurrection) I am afraid he only killed male children, however, this is a good aura, especially if enemy women are destroying your rams.
  19. Another hero we can add is Herod The Great. Here is a Wikipedia article about him: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Herod_the_Great Bonuses: 1. Architecture. All structures + 30% health 2. All temples +50% healing rate? He is also known for murder of the innocents but I am not sure how to turn that into a positive aura effect.
  20. Individual embassies sound more realistic because even in modern world you rarely get 2 embassies of 2 different nations in the same building. Another thing is if we only like Gaul mercenaries then we don't need access to the Italic or Iberian units. In that case I would build 3 Gaul embassies to maximise the rate of production, and that would be the most efficient as well.
  21. With the forum's agreement I would like to make the following changes to the Judean faction for balancing. I must admit they are a very weak civ right now. I can implement all of the following by myself, no need to bother anyone else. 1. CC unable to train cavalry. Solution: give CC the ability to train some cav? 2. General lack of cavalry. Solution: give them a champion cavalry of some sort? Perhaps a garrisonable archer chariot? 3. Lack of siege. I gave them a ram but perhaps we can also give them a religious zealot unit, which can act as a maceman. 4. Only one hero. Solution: implement some other characters that you have discussed?

  23. Well, it makes the numbers smaller, on my already crowded laptop screen. Also more numbers = more information = more reaction time = less good micro I don't really care how many of my workers are gathering each resource, as long as I have enough of everything I am happy. I can divert workers if necessary.
  24. Well @BreakfastBurrito_007 I am nowhere near as skilled as you are . I click up at 10 minutes then go into city at minute 13, takes me 10=15 seconds to build elephant stable then another 40 seconds to train an elephant. Meanwhile I have Seleucus Nikator in the cc. So probably ready at around between 14-15. Then it takes me almost a minute to march to the enemy. Of course this assumes I am not being rushed or trying to rush anyone else. I have been trying to improve my boom. Thanks to inspirations from other good players my boom speed is faster than what it used to be by 1 -2 minutes.
