  1. Here is the github link: https://github.com/Yekaterina999/xiongnu/tree/82533199e7442c4201e6642657ce8d906ec06d8f
  2. I assume you want 1.5x counter by default? You can have it tonight ( or morning of 3rd June in Honduras)
  3. The battalion thing is good but takes a while to implement
  4. This thread started because of this: I would like to request historians and any players to drop below plausible names from each of the civilisations for the AIs to use. We need some Persian, Mauryan and Seleucid names, but any other civs names are also welcome, including mod civs. @Ceres @Thorfinn the Shallow Minded
  5. How do I pull? Pull request I mean
  6. I am trying to push my changed files onto the mod on github and this happens When I try git pull:
  7. @Lion.Kanzen we have 4 days to test and implement bellum mod ; ) Let's work quickly and get the balancing advisors to test it.
  8. Thanks, but now this error came up: Can someone grant me access?
  9. I have made the change to the barracks spearman. Should make entrenched camps train elite rank spears as well, or should it stay the same? In which case I would recommend having two different names / unit templates to avoid confusion. We can call the regular spearman 'Discens Hastatorum'
  10. What is this error? I am trying to upload the files into my own repository:
  11. 2021-06-03_0002.zip Bellum mod, Athenian P2 champion push.
  12. I think I can come up with the phrases, but in latinised alphabet or standard Chinese chatacters (because there is no way a computer can handle ancient Chinese characters).
  13. I guess my Chinese teacher in 2021 can understand a Han person from 2000 years ago in a hypothetical conversation, but the writings would not be understood because the ancients used more random curves / pictographs whereas the modern characters are based on a standardised set of strokes and nothing else. However, you can tell that they are the same langauge as all the characters are bijective (corresponding)
  14. Chinese, but with weird accents and illegible handwritings.
  15. This stuff is pure Chinese, not sure if it has English subtitles. I can understand some of it, but the video of a man chopping up a dead pig is a good enough illustration of the weapon.
  16. Here are some documentaries on ancient Chinese weapons. The things called Ge and Ji and GouXiang did appear around 0AD. Ji is extra OP because you can use it in 3 ways. GouXiang is designed to counter Ji Ge is used for chariots.
  17. slinger test (ignore errors) 10.5 pierce, 5.5 cursh, 0.01 multiplier against structures. 7 slings survive against archers. 3 skirmishers survive against slingers tower stands forever. bellumSlingers1.mp4
  18. 'cheng' means a city in Chinese. I have noticed that many of the Xiongnu names are Chinese, even the word Xiongnu itself is clearly Chinese. I asked my Chinese teacher about this and he said that many Xiongnu terms are in Chinese because Xiongnu people had no written text surviving, all of the sources were Han Chinese books. Tongwancheng has become a part of PRC.
  19. I found a good value: 10.5 pierce, 5.5 crush. 20 archers vs 20 slings in close range. 4 slings survive
  20. I gave them bonus multiplier 0.05 and this is what happens: 2021-06-03 11-20-37.mkv Still some damage but much less viable as a siege weapon.
  21. 2021-06-03 11-13-42.mkvPlease take a look at this: 1. 20 Bellum archers vs 20 slingers with 11.5 pierce and 0.7 crush at very close range. 3 Slings survive 2. 20 slingers vs sentry tower.
  22. I have an idea: give slingers decent crush damage but a negative bonus against structures, to prevent using them as siege.
  23. Please be careful about this. Crush damage makes slingers plausible siege weapons, which is not what you want. However, infantry don't have any crush armour, so any crush would be huge. A value I would recommend is 0.7 crush. This prevents the use of slingers as siege weapons but also makes them more effective against other infantry units. Another idea is give them hack damage, so that they are good at anti-siege. Recommendation: give slingers and archers no armour at all.
  24. What do you think about giving skirmishers 75 health instead of 50? That would put them between archers/slingers and melee.
