  1. btw Did AoE3 have any impact at all? I'm barely aware it exists, because there's AoE4 and bc it's the new shtuff there's talk about it. But if I'm not mistaken 2 is still much more a thing than 3.
  2. @Fabius Persians also have a unique building with an extra benefit.
  3. @vladislavbelov RC1 would be early enough for me. My friend.
  4. Hi, please state your OS and actually attach the crashlog.txt and crashlog.dmp files. Here's how to locate them: https://trac.wildfiregames.com/wiki/GameDataPaths You can also check https://trac.wildfiregames.com/wiki/FAQ Two classics: 1. Your antivir is preventing 0AD from running, 2. You're on a laptop and your integrated GPU can't handle it (switch to designated GPU). HTH
  5. You just have to get better. In serious: maybe upload a replay so people can give you feedback. With your general description I feel you can only get general advice.
  6. I don't think taking a primitive civ is a problem, as I would expect any p0 civ to be primitive. The advanced stuff come with the later phases.
  7. So you're saying it won't work here? I was socialized in forums with rules (off topic, full quotes...*) and actual enforcement, here it is bordering on non-moderation. This thread is all over the place; not that I don't like the p0 idea, but this thread was supposed to be about something else. *Backseat moderation was also frowned upon. I'll show myself out.
  8. Interesting. One time I pointed out that something could be done about the worker elephant's helpfulness, the reply I got was 'it was decided to have it skill-based', meaning microed.
  9. So a wasteful player would get a higher score, while players being efficient at gathering would get a lower score. Do tributes even count towards resources spent?
  10. I sensed your distance to the closed balancing forums before. I don't know if it increased a rift in the community, but I did read comments stating that some people wouldn't even read the closed forums because they go against the principles of FOSS. When I thought that an important aspect was overlooked in the discussion I pm'ed a member and she brought that aspect to the discussion; however, I recently decided to just start a parallel, open thread whenever I felt I wanted to state my opinion on something. So in short, I think opening the balancing forums might be a good idea. I don't know what role the balancing advisors could play, or how decisions should be made; but there seems to be a lot of discussions where nothing ever comes out of it. Unfortunately I don't really have a good suggestion how to remedy that, but I suspect it also has something to do with us being a bit thin regarding devs.
  11. @Philip the Swaggerless Yeah, you're right there. Not having to build something, and instead of spending you're gathering resources, that's definitely an advantage.
  12. @Philip the SwaggerlessYou want to split up the heroes within one civ to different buildings? I don't know about that. Also I'm not sure if anybody would chose a hero depending in what building it's produced.
  13. @Lion.KanzenOn second thought I guess either a pic of the ~input or the ~output would be ok, but maybe the dark stuff makes for better contrast in icon size if you wanted to go with the hands.
  14. Babylon's Fall would be happy to have the player numbers of BS2024. ^^
  15. Look / search for something like pyrogenisis.exe on your machine and run it. Maybe look here for hints: https://trac.wildfiregames.com/wiki/GameDataPaths If you would state your OS ppl would be able to help you more specifically.
  16. I hardly find the error messages helpful, but yours is a new level of unhelpful. Can you upload the crashlog.txt and crashlog.dmp files? (You may find paths to these files at https://trac.wildfiregames.com/wiki/GameDataPaths )
  17. These concepts seem fine to me, don't think I'd vote for the flags or monument options.
  18. Sheeesh. THE BUG IS REPORTED. Why do you always have to bug the devs?
  19. Well, 'Stone of Galvestion' is correct English, no?
  20. Don't know which translation you mean, the one from @Lion.Kanzen or mine? Translation of pedra de cal still gets me limestone.
  21. The google translation of the video description said limestone, which corroborates my initial guess. Also I couldn't make out a lime (fruit) in the vid.
  22. I accidentally deleted units, it taught me to pay attention to those actions. If you know about the risks and still refuse to double check I can't really relate to that. You didn't read the message, just clicked it away blindly. (But there are other hints.) Shouldn't exist? Kb/mouse? There have been discussions about extra warnings, for example when there are a lot of units to be deleted, but they have led to nothing. I suspect it wouldn't help ppl who want to blindly click away anything as quickly as possible anyway.
