  3. I don't know if you speak about a specific mod. So I will assume you speak of WFG alpha23beta. If you look at armor stats, you will notice that it is very weak against hack attack. In practice, swordsmen (mounted or not), ranged siege engine, women (!) and also spearmen/pikemen are efficient against them. But don't try to hurt them with archers or javelinists ;-)

  7. When you started to build the dock, did you put workers to work on it?

I checked for 0ad alpha23beta: - There is the healer hero and the chariot hero whose aura affects some cost. - For the chariot hero: temples cost and built time are reduced, temples tech cost and research time are reduced. - For the healer hero: tech cost and research time are reduced when the hero is garrisoned in the building producing that tech. (The tooltip is not really clear.) EDIT: I meant actually checked and tested.

  12. While I agree with you on the meaning, most of the work which is needed in that kind of project is not noticeable. On a open source project, the code mess is visible so you can't hide it and just produce something that 'works' at time t. ;-) edit: sum up, the issue is to "get the balance right".
  13. 1) what @(-_-) said 2) attack range has several meanings depending of the part of the code which use it... and most of the time it's not exactly what you expected an attack range is :-)
