  1. Sounds like a plan - if we can find somebody who wants to take on the project of researching and voicing Gaulish. We can still use Brythonic though for the Britons
  2. Just use a port with a high number that doesn't have a default function assigned to it (e.g. 80 would be bad, because that's HTTP for transmitting websites).
  3. You could update your operating system to Linux Mint 18 Sarah - that's a good idea anyway, since it's a long-term release with support until 2021.
  4. Since we don't have enough information about Gallic, the idea was to use Old Welsh for the Gauls and Goidelic for the Britons, although this won't be accurate.
  5. Of course you can use 0AD on the forums - I think the point was that you accidentally hit the capital O, and us geeks like to nitpick sometimes
  6. If you've been away from 3D modelling that long, you might want to consider learning Blender rather than paying for a new license for your software. Since Blender is free, it is used a lot around FLOSS projects - and Enrique will be able to give you more help.
  7. I guess winkas -> Incas with greeting from autocorrect?
  8. I'd say that in sandbox mode, a player should have a fair chance even if they totally suck. I gave up playing FreeCiv pretty fast because guess what - I suck and the AI pwns me pretty fast. That's no fun. For those new players who don't suck, they can always pick the next hardest AI level.
  9. Well, Romance languages evolved from Latin, so no surprise if a few words are still identical today
  10. If we want something non-Roman, how about Véda? Not related to unit meshes though. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vedas#Etymology_and_usage And of course there's Vercingetorix. Latin for victory is victoria.
  11. We could give relics an aura, so the mountain would visit Muhammad in this case
  12. Bienvenuto/a Have a look at https://wildfiregames.com/forum/index.php?/forum/432-official-tasks/ You can find a list of things that need doing there.
  13. You could try running it in gdb to see if you can get a backtrace http://trac.wildfiregames.com/wiki/Debugging The executable file for 0AD is called pyrogenesis.
  14. I guess you pick something from http://trac.wildfiregames.com/wiki/Audio_Voice_List and have a look at which language(s) you can pronounce. I see that you already found the tasks threads in the art forum
  15. No need to download anything, unless you're speaking a CJK language - you will need a mod then. You can set your language in-game: Tools & Options -> Language.
  16. Yes, I agree that it's a good idea - installers can offer a checkbox for it though so that the user can opt out. This will save those who don't want it on their desktop some time.
  17. I prefer the second layout - will be easier to see on a small scale.
  18. Thank you all for your work on 0AD
  19. Thanks - I have so much fun making it. I came there to translate and then ended up developing as well.
  20. Seems like this is RTS games release week - 0 A.D, a new development version of Battle for Wesnoth, and now Widelands as well. We have just released Build 19 Widelands is a free, open source real-time buildup strategy game with single player campaigns and a multiplayer mode. The game was inspired by Settlers II™ (© Bluebyte) but has significantly more variety and depth to it. You are the regent of a small clan. Your task is to build an ever growing settlement. Every member of your clan will do his or her part to produce more resources to further this growth. Widelands offers a single-player mode with campaigns that tell stories of the tribes and their struggle in the Widelands universe. However, settling really starts when you unite with friends over the Internet or LAN to build up new empires together – or to crush each other in the dusts of war. Widelands also offers an artificial intelligence to challenge you. Homepage
