  1. It looks like there is something weird going on with both the Athenian and Spartan support ships, the fishing boat and the trading ship, are named the same, the trading ship with diacritics and the fishing boat without. Is the Celtic Cavalry Skirmisher/Raiding Cavalry supposed to be named Gaisaredos, from Alpha 10, or Marcos, from the Celtic civ profiles? Is the Cantabrian Cavalry intentionally missing from the Iberian civ profile? Several Persian specific names are missing from their civ profile, does that have something to do with borrowed words mentioned recently? For the Roman Barracks and Fortress on the Romans (Republican) civ profile, the specific names, Castra and Fortis, should be changed to Armamentarium and Castellum, unless I am mistaken? I assume the Macedonian civ profile is only temporarily using some Mauryan information?
  2. There is an elven ship, it under the name "Noldor" as I understand it.
  3. Si vis pacem, para bellum -- "If you want peace, prepare for war" - i.e. "peace through strength", Publius Flavius Vegetius Renatus, De Re Militari, Book III.
  4. The slider for the map description list box should start at the top of the description by default, if it doesn't already. Due to the expanded area for map descriptions, no map description in Alpha 10 is long enough to test whether they do default to the top of the list box.
  5. I have seen a weird bug were builders can't be ordered to hunt.
  6. Indeed, the Greek Civ Centre was clearly modelled after the AoE Greek Town Center.
  7. The home page wasn't designed for that size of image.
  8. Line 385 of the Quote of the Day, Ubi solitudinem faciunt, pacem appellant -- Where they make a wasteland, they call it peace" - Gaius Cornelius Tacitus, Agricola, ch. 30., is missing the opening quote on the translation.
  9. Actually, there are only two proper nouns not capitalized in random map descriptions in Alpha 10, Baltic Sea in the description for Deep Forest and Mediterranean Sea in the decription for Guadalquivir River.
  10. Unlike the scenario descriptions, many of the random map descriptions don't capitalize proper nouns like Mediterranean or Black Sea.
  11. This must be the main reason why qBot sometimes gets completely paralyzed.
  12. Gotta love trac, especially when one has coding experience, because one can do clever things like borrow fixes with it.
  13. I mentioned something similar in the Celtic Buildings thread in regards to the alternate version of the Caer and the order of the citizen-soldier production icons in the production menu.
  14. Homeworld, AoE, AoE2, Stronghold, Stronghold Crusader, Stronghold 2, StarCraft. Supreme Commander, Battlefield 2, CnC: TFD, The Battle for Middle-earth series, Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds, Star Wars: Empire at War, Star Wars: Battlefront 2, and Star Wars: Republic Commando for PC games. I haven't been able to play AoE2, Stronghold, Stronghold Crusader, Battlefield 2, CnC: TFD, The Battle for Middle-earth series, and Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds very much lately, due to having to use a Vizio TV that doesn't support their resolution as a monitor. LoZ, ALttP, Assassin's Creed, MW2, MW3, Halo 3, and Halo 3: ODST for console games. Sadly, I don't play CoD or Halo online, because I don't have any consoles set up for internet. I really want Skyrim and some of the later Assassin's Creed games at some point.
  15. Looks like a great starting point for an Egyptian building set.
  16. A BaseHeight of 3 or 4 didn't fix the flooding problem for me.
  17. My name is Zachary Skaggs. I am a programmer pursuing my Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems from DeVry University. As a programmer who has experience with C#, Java, and JavaScript, who loves video games, especially RTS games and history, and aspires to become a video game designer, contributing to 0 A.D. is something I look forward to doing when my college studies calm down. I have been following 0 A.D. since late last year, since around the time Alpha 8 was released, but I didn't take the time to formally introduce myself until now. I found out about 0 A.D. when I was looking for more information on Rome at War, the Wildfire Studios mod of AoE2. For those who don't, Wildfire Studios was the first incarnation of Wildfire Games.
  18. Yeah, I had forgotten about the fact it wasn't supported in Alpha 10. I had been waiting for Alpha 11 for that very reason, but between 0 A.D. and the Ultimate Empire at War (UEaW) mod (for the Forces of Corruption (FoC) expansion to Star Wars: Empire at War (EaW)) being left incomplete and requiring SVN in order to play, I got TortiseSVN recently, since using such tools is something I should probably get more experience doing being a programmer.
  19. Well, what can be done to fix the flooding problem then?
  20. This is happening to me when using this map in Alpha 10, with the second download link version, even with "log (heightDiff);" removed from line 648 as Spahbod said.
  21. The player(s) still needs control of their units. The behavior can be built into the AI, but a button must still be included so the player(s) can still manually recall and/or deploy their units as they see fit.
  22. I think an RPG set during the time period of 0 A.D. where the player controls historical figures and experiences the events that made them famous would be the best starting point.
  23. I really should start using the SVN version, so I can stop asking so many questions.
  24. Has the Miletus scenario been updated, because the wall segments for the Hellenes seem to be missing in Alpha 10? Fewer gates are indeed needed for the Iberian bonus walls, something like two to three would be preferable to me.
  25. Is there any reason to not make random maps like Latium, Phoenician Levant, and Lake circular instead of square?
