  1. I got Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary a few days ago and I am loving it, and thanks to my pleasant surprise with Firefight and Anniversary Multiplayer, I now want to get Halo: Reach too.
  2. That is something I would like to see. I was just speaking to the present stance on the matter as I understand it.
  3. Two minor things, the Devotio Cavalry generic name has an unnecessary period at the end, and are the Carthaginian mercenaries, specifically the Gallic Mercenary Cavalry and the Italic Mercenary Swordsman going to get specific names?
  4. As I understand it, they are planning on having the Persian Immortal use both a spear and a bow. The Bactrian Lancer would have used both a lance and a bow too, but they settled on making them only lancers.
  5. F10 opens the menu because most older games, such as Age of Empires, do that.
  6. The game is playable with just 512mb of RAM, but a 1 vs. 1 has to be beat quickly and larger games are basically impossible.
  7. Some RMS, like Guadalquivir River, place the player really close to the edge of the map.

I have sound, but there is a lot of static with all sounds, including music, when I haven't had any sound issues before, beyond the known issue with music stopping after leaving a match with the old sound manager.   12. Well, that wouldn't be the first time nVidia has botched drivers before, they already botched a recent set of drivers, one of 200s, to point the drivers wouldn't work with Stronghold Kingdoms.

  14. There is bartering and both land and sea trading, like AoE style market and traders.
  15. I actually think there isn't a problem there. Let me explain. The fifth Siege Catapult is actually overlapping underneath another one, and it only has 55% health, so when all are select, the one with low health is the one that is showing up when all are selected.
  16. Surely there is more to the Gauls and the Britons than what I was able to come up with, in preparation for their split in Alpha 11, for the 0 A.D. article on Wikipedia.
  17. As an alternative to the Persian Architecture special technology, since there are likely to be normal technologies are similar to it, sparabara formation might be a better choice.
  18. For the Republican Romans, Mythos_Ruler suggested the Temple of Jupiter Optimus Maximus, and I agree that it is the best choice.
  19. On page 13 of this thread, I presented the best translation I could find for Edict Pillar of Ashoka. In the Unit and Building Names thread, I pointed out several inconsistencies in the civ profiles.
  20. I know of at least one RTS that has done something quite similar to what you are suggesting, mdfx, Supreme Commander (SupCom) and its expansion Forged Alliance (FA). SupCom has one of if not the most advanced UIs in any game I know of.
  21. XML you say? I have some experience with XML, primarily its use in modding Star Wars: Empire at War (EaW) and its expansion Forces of Corruption (FoC).
  22. What's with the border on Guadalquivir River? The land doesn't go to the edge of the map.
  23. What you described was how the Hellenes and the Celts were originally intended to be, but that idea was abandon in favor of more civilizations. The Hellenes were split into the Athenians, the Spartans, and the Macedonians for Alpha 10, and the Celts are being split (already split in the SVN) into the Britons and the Gauls for Alpha 11. The split civilizations are so diverse that I wouldn't have it any other way.
