  2. @wowgetoffyourcellphone How do you want to be credited? Real name, nickname, both? If real name, it's Justus Avramenko, right? @Enrique, if there is stuff from a new contributor committed you can ask them that and edit binaries/data/mods/public/gui/credits/text/art.json (or another file). That way the committed contribution is associated with the contributor through the commit diff

  3. Thanks Enrique, you're right about the licences, I used some CC-BY-SA 2.0 images (didn't thought the version was important) ... I think I prefer to rework my texture rather than contacting the author, otherwise it could be long to have an answer.

  4. I may have the opportunity to record voices for iberian from basque people. The problem is I doubt we would have the necessary equipment to record with enough quality (I assume laptop mics and/or external cheap PC mics are just not enough), this cam be improved by software edition in some way or it's just mission impossible?

  5. Everything in the green box is assumed to be the civic center when selecting. What we do observe though is that the footprint is circular, but the engine ignores that and acts as if it was a square one. In particular input.js calling PickEntityAtPoint from Selection.cpp which calls PickAllEntitiesAtPoint from CCmpUnitRenderer.cpp which uses a CBoundingBoxOriented to check for the things beneath the mouse cursor. In BoundingBoxOriented.h we find this unflagged TODO that would probably address this issue: * However, it could also be used to represent more generic shapes, such as parallelepipeds. A hexagonal shape would likely help with the reported issue without causing a too bad performance impact.

  6. Greetings everyone I am new to 0. A.D. community, but I would like to contribute to it with sound design assets. I am interested in contributing to music content. The way I think I can be a most valuable resource, is by creating midi compositions, that could be used for such a kind of game, and either someone provides me with sample libraries to run my midi files throughout, or I send the midi files, and then the good ones, someone will run them throughout the game sample libraries. My name is Tiago, I am 28, I have been professional musician for about 15yrs+ and I am working on a certain amount of both open source audio related projects (I.e.: supercollider and sonic pi, where I helped out with the documentation), and I am now trying to get into opensource sound design for videogames (like open arena and this game). I have extensive experience with tools like Sibelius, Finale, Ableton, Logic, MaxMSP, CSound, Supercollider, Pure Data, Kyma (although I don't have one, reason why I stick to Integra Live), etc. Looking forward, kind regards Tiago

  10. I've seen that cideo awhile back. Got me in motion sickness, so it's not my cup of tea. BUT I'm willing to bet that pyrogenesis has much better potential for VR than what they're currently using.

  12. the vsl of kontakt by native instruments, and the Vienna symphonic library (the original one, I mean), are two completely distinct products, with very different production quality level. you can find the original VSL here, and get an idea of what I am talking about https://vsl.co.at/en and I have tested both, so I do perfectly know what I am talking about

  13. That would be very nice! However yes, cheap PC mics are not enough and software edition won't help for this quality level. Do you know someone with some audio equipment, even something simple like a portable recorder? In the worst case, just record voices and it will be extremely helpful for other people trying to record hiqh quality ones. We would also be sure that the recorded sentences are proper Basque and we wouldn't worry about checking the quality of the translation itself

  14. Very nice texture. @Leyto Did you end up using the CC-BY-SA 2.0 sources contained in the zip? IIRC our license is only compatible with 3.0 or "higher". It would be good to get in contact with the authors of the sorce images released under 2.0 to ask for permission in the game/let us use them under cc-by-sa 3.0

  15. Hello! sooorry for the late update, so inside this package (musk_ox-v2.zip), you have all: game assets, source model, source images and unflatened texture.

  16. First of all...AMAZING GAME! Love it. It kills me at times, but love it. There is one thing that I cannot find enough info and I continue to wonder... How do I leverage resources at the market? The percentage of resources does exactly what? does increasing the portage of a resource means that I trade more of that resources or is it meant to increase the revenue of that resource material?

  17. You're correct afaik. I think we could also use a sphere/elipsoid bounding box, which would probably be best for a building such as this.

  19. Yes, i've seen it but i'm far from convinced such a tool can improve the AI without an internal understanding of the topology, available resources, obstructions and so on. But i'd be happy to be wrong.

  20. It's possible to make units consume food right now with a negative trickle. Unfortunately the total food goes negative and it does weird stuff with food costs of units and technologies. I have tried it.

  21. Perhaps there should be some experience given for taking damage? I imagine a commander ordering his troops to stand in archer fire to 'harden them up'. He'd be a bit of a loony but it'd probably teach the troops real quick where they should be holding their shields of course with tank units like pikes, it's their most useful trait.

  23. How about the Tocharians; the mysterious white/Europoid people that helped spread Buddhism in China. And let's not forget about the nomads of the east: the (proto-)Mongols, the Scythians and the Turks (eg. the Tartars, Uyghurs, etc). Unfortunately, we do not know if the Xiongnu (and/or the Huns) were proto-Mongolian, Turkic, or both... Oh and should an Indian civilization be included, someone should be able to make an Indo-Greek faction.
