  1. This is not true. if a champ cav archer fights 4 archers it takes less damage than the chariot in the same situation. The chariot is a bigger unit and is easier to hit.

  3. I mean IMHO we shouldn't display the Name, only the label and description. Name is a technical object and shouldn't be shown to non technical people.

  5. I got a bit more data. Over the last month we had 1500+ active players in average every day. Can't say how long they played though. I assume most people don't activate ingame feedback.

  6. 0 A.D. Trac Mod List Introducing a new way to get more visibilty for your mods, you can now get featured on Trac. The idea is that modders- if interested- add their own mod to the page on Trac and we get a nice list together.   7. First of all congratulations to designing and implementing such a phantastic and beautiful game! Played it since a few years now (starting in Alpha 0.20) with ever increasing admiration of artwork, historic alignment and game mechanics getting better and better with every version. There is one small thing that I would like to suggest however: The available mods windows (mod.io) window is obstructing the installed mods list, particularly the installed version numbers. Could it be possible to make that window moveable for checking if that particular mod version is already installed or not? Sorry for the long text on such a minor item...

  8. Thanks - you are absolutely right! This would only work with another set of complicated rules when and where trees can be actually planted. Just thought about their potential use at the borders.

  9. As much as I like that shrub doesn't block construction any more, would it be possible to indicate the shrub being erased? For example when I want to place a storehouse as close as possible to wood but don't necessarily want to erase wood I could gather. Maybe it could be tinted red; with the building preview being white on top I think it would be visually readable.

  10. Right, the "Name" has to be identical to the folder name, else it won't work in multiplayer. @Freagarach and I ran into that trying to test Delenda Est one time. It's just unintuitive. To any normie, the "Name" of the mod should be Delenda Est, not delenda_est_a26 (which is identical to the folder name, also listed). Some attention needs to be given to such things, but of course I know manpower is always short. Just noting the odd incongruencies for end-users.

  11. I wish the team would look into Promotion Techs. Constantly training Level 0 n00b units, even in late-game, only for them to die before they reach cool-looking elite status is kind of meh. We have these awesome actors and units and 90% of soldiers never get there.

  14. 1. Crossbow cavalry should be abolished. 2. There should be a citizen infantry crossbowman using a common crossbow. 3. There should be a champion infantry crossbowman using "JueZhang".

  15. You need to define it in `templates/special/player.xml`. IIRC you need to put the generic name of the unit without spaces.

  18. Well, we got the Gauls and the Britons. Bronze Age is too early for our scope, although I don't know if there's maybe a mod. (But generally, the earlier the time period, the less sources are available; which of course isn't good for a game based on history.)

  19. yeah, I meant to make it a popup at some point also, I personally just enabled feedback a few months ago after playing for years now and none of the people I know that play the game have it enabled, so I guess you can multiply the number easily by 10x or even more. Especially since the game has a major Linux audience who is generally even more conscious about their personal data and security stuff.

  21. yes, I think so. range: 60 -> 50 prepare time 200 -> 600 spread 0.8 -> 3 speed 120 -> 80 ^This is a massive nerf when there really was no nerf necessary. I think the champion crossbow parent template should be reverted to a25 values, and the Han xbows adjusted accordingly if needed. The cavalry champion crossbow template could remain as is, since shooting the xbow from horseback would be inaccurate (and for balance reasons).
