  2. Hello everyone, I think it's time I reveal a "secret project" I've been working on occasionally: a “Grand Strategy” campaign mod for A25. Because our UI is flexible, and because campaign data is just JSON, we can do quite a lot in terms of modding. My intention here is to do something somewhat similar to Rise of Nations' Conquer the World campaign, though with some twists. The code is over at the github repo: https://github.com/wraitii/0ad_grand_strat . If you want to help out, the easiest is to make PRs or issues over there. The end-game is to merge something back for A26 or later, depending on advancement. As you can see, the mod is currently unfinished: it's technically playable, and some of the core mechanics are there, but it needs a ton of polish and quite a few features (& well, testing) before it's properly done. Though at the moment new core code in 0 A.D. itself isn't necessary, some things might be easier to do there. Screenshots: You can download a .pyromod from GitHub. Changelog:

  3. Could be hard to find. But most people expect to have some conversation history and only stay for a few minutes so we don't have time to answer. Most of the history on #0ad is just lost people. Sometimes we're lucky and @Langbart can help them. Bridges have gdpr implications which is annoying sharing ips and private data depending on how its stored etc. They are adapated for developpers and not players as most of them are on Discord. Some big youtubers asked us for that too. It's one of the most common requests after steam.

  7. I am sorry. I meant it can be done. One has to edit binaries/data/mods/public/gui/summary/summary.js and binaries/data/mods/public/gui/summary/counters.js, to figure out what is not rounded. (e.g. percent and ratios seems to be) Seems like nobody updated binaries/data/mods/public/simulation/data/civs/rome.json Well it's their attitude toward you. So effectively "theirs". Not sure what would be more appropriate.

  12. Additionally it would be nice to have more coherent borders for territories. This is purely arbitrary preference, but I would find a map done in the style of Ptolemy's description of the world to be a fun idea. This is obviously not the original, but it would be a fun representation.

  14. I like your mod...love the music too... ...I have been playing like for 5 months now, and decide to make a scenario too.. At first, It was design for 8 players, but issues with the population, and the game freezing, forced me to make it for 5 players instead, with the other factions becoming buffer states...As you, I am also working on a scenario base on the map of Europe and the Mediterranean Sea. I have named O AD Empires at War... Hopefully it will be published soon.. here is how is looking so far.

  15. The problem with this reasoning is that you can twist it to justify about anything. A community needs rules just as a society does. BTW I am kind of annoyed of the inflationary use of the word "-phobia"/"-phobic" for any kind of disagreement whether it is coupled with fear (the actual meaning of that word) or not.

  16. I think the topic: https://wildfiregames.com/forum/topic/82176-differentiating-civilizations-persian/ was a success so i will continue to sparta civilization. Well I'd like to start with a few small ideas. It seems to me that the Sparta civilization should be focused on its infantry and especially on its champions, which are rarely used. - Sissitia moved to phase 1; - Sissitia range aura of gathering rate on farms for citizens infantry skimishers near. Gathers like a woman, but her attack is reduced a little. - Champions spearman can be trained on phase 1; - Champion spearman can up to rank 2 (olympic champion). Current hoplite tradition also affects champions. - New movement speed technology for champion infantry; Well this is one of the ideas that i have at the moment, i will research more about sparta culture. I would like to hear everyone's ideas and opinion.

  17. Ideas: Spartan Woman - Can no longer gather, but can build structures quickly and have their old "Alure" aura back. Helot Worker - Can only gather, but do so quicker than other gatherers. Very low health; Can be captured. Agis III Change Agis III to Cleomenes III. He's now a pikeman and his special is that he can train a limited number of Champion Spartan Pikemen very quickly. This number can be per match or just a standard training limit.
