  1. Maligayang Pasko sa inyong lahat! (Merry Christmas everyone!) Hoping that the next year will be productive for all of us, I am still a little occupied with academic stuff, I still have texture WIP which are not yet committed and will add them whenever my schedule becomes more loose.

  2. You should probably wait until I merge D3243, which will make it much easier to change the gamesetup GUI. However, I'll probably not do it in the days to come as it's likely to introduce a few bugs in situations I've missed.

  3. Added Macedonia 26 - Death of an Emperor (330 BC) After defeating Ariobarzanes, the Satrap of Persis, Alexander's army marches on Persepolis and sacks the city. Darius has fled further into Bactria, along with Bessus and other loyal Satraps. Alexnader is in hot pursuit, for as long as Darius lives, he cannot claim to be the legitimate emperor of the former Achamenid Empire. As Alexander's forces close in on Darius, things are not as they seem. Bessus has betrayed Darius -- as the Emperor lie dying, he formally conceals the title of Emperor to Alexander. In exchange, he wants only one thing -- revenge! Defeat Bessus and the rest of the traitors and the Empire is yours. Bessus' forces have taken over a small town north-west of our position. The town is heavily fortified. The last remaining Greek mercenaries in service of the Achamenids are located in a camp further west. They are likely to fight to the death. Darius has commanded his most loyal servants to help you establish a camp and defeat Bessus. You will need to rely on local Persians for your forces. Your primary objective is to defeat Bessus' forces and put the remainder of the Greek mercenaries to the sword. Your scouts report that there are local traders whom you can trade with for additional supplies.

  4. Now, EA can do it differently, but DE's trees and groves do not obstruct the pathfinder, for 2 reasons. 1. I thought fewer obstructions may give the pathfinder a performance boost (not yet benchmarked) and thought it okay to do this since other games like AOE3 already does this. 2. so groves can do cool things like have auras that affect units. There's the 'underbrush' aura that has these effects on units that traverse their footprints: -33% vision range, -33% range attack range, -33% movement speed. Additionally, straggler trees (individual trees) can be built over by player's structures, making the tree disappear once the construction starts. Again I figured this could make things easier for the AI. It works well for human players too as they don't have to worry about chopping trees down first or trees dictating the shape and layout of their base. There just needs to have some UI improvements to make this 100% done (the tree should perhaps turn red when the construction preview is waved over it). Garrisoning for ambush would occur just like garrisoning any other "structure." Only the garrisoning player (and their allies) would see that the grove is garrisoned by that player's troops.

  5. So it's been a while since I last posted here. But I've been working lots on DerpHammer and am very close to releasing the first version! That said, I've run into a weird issue: If i try to play a game on a random map, the game crashes. The error messenger also crashes so I don't know what the problem is. However, if i play on a skirmish map first and then switch to a random map, everything works perfectly. Any idea what could be the reason for this?

  6. https://www.moddb.com/mods/hyrule-conquest/downloads/low-poly-patch-for-08 Low Poly Patch for the 0.8 and 0.9 version of Hyrule Conquest. This makes the unit models of Labrynna and the Fairies of Tarm lower poly for better performance. For those with less powerful machines this patch will reduce the poly counts of models by half to aid in better performance until the Pyrogenesis engine supports LODs. This is treated as a separate mod, do not install it over Hyrule Conquest. Simply activate it as an additional mod in the Tools & Options > Mod Selection menu.

  7. https://www.moddb.com/mods/hyrule-conquest/downloads/hyrule-conquest-09 New version of Hyrule Conquest that adds many more Heroes and other new features. Installation: - Place Hyrule.zip into C:\Users\Username\Documents\my games\0ad\mods - Start up 0AD and go to Settings > Mod Selection - Select Hyrule Conquest, Enable, Save Configuration, then Start Mods - If using Windows 10, 0AD may generate several warnings upon starting up, just click Continue through each of them to get to the main menu. New Features: - Two new heroes for each faction, each bringing with them new bonuses and techs. - A completely reworked Hero system: You can now pick three out of six heroes at the start of each match. - Brand new UI for each faction. - Civil Center Nodes: In order to build new Civil Centers you must capture nodes on the map and transform them. Darknuts can also capture Ruins and convert them into Civil Centers. - Deku Scrubs now use a new "grid system" to construct their bases by expanding districts off of their civil center. - Population is now based on number of Battalions rather than individual units. - Your Resource Gather Rate is now shown at the top of the screen next to your collected resources. Fixes: - Gohma Eggs now work properly with the new Battalion System and automatically hatch without player input. - Damage of Labrynna's Gunpowder units has been reduced. - AI fixes. - Numerous other small bug fixes. (I'm just sharing the instructions from moddb btw)

  9. Thanks for your reply. Do you know where I can download the development version of the mod? I cannot seem to find it on mod.io and it is not in the repository of mods neither. Also, I would like to try out Alpha 24 but I can't find where to download it. Can you point me to where you can download it please?

  10. Might be with autoresearched techs. Basically Gobelin civ has a tech that affects a specific class eg corruptible and changes the visual actor. So when you capture another building with that class the tech apply and the building change. I didn't try though so take it with a pinch of salt
