  1. I put slinger anims in the title, but its just the one in Balearic style. Not quite sure where these go just yet, it doesn't look like the new meshes are in until we complete the animation roster. I want to get all different styles for different cultures because that would be awesome, but that will probably take a lot of time. Have a go, then

  2. A20 enable some more GFX features by default. It may be that one of those trigger the issue. I'd suggest to upgrade to Ubuntu 16.04, which is the current LTS version and has many updates and fixes. EDIT: if you cannot upgrade, try disabling some setting starting with preferglsl=false.

  3. Hi guy. So, for civ bonuses and penalties. What would be best for performance of game? To use player aura or auto-research tech? Are they initiated by the match differently? Does the game treat them different or not at all? Same performance or is one less efficient than the other? Thank you. Performance is important to me. Here is example. In my mod I would like to give the Celt units -1 hack armor, but +10% movement rates. Would be best to use a player aura or to use auto-research tech?

  4. As far as I can tell, the engine doesn't really support different trajectories? Is there any way that can be controlled in a unit's XML? 'bombard' mechanics would be sweet probably the only reason I'd play Korea in Empires DotMW was because they got thunder crash mortars with a stupidly high range and wild inaccuracy. Let me rain cannonballs down... well... everywhere! their short range game was horrendous though, kept things balanced what was I talking about? ah yeah, area deterrent as opposed to area denial for long range troops would be sweet. Not quite the right topic, but still sweet!

  6. Right, the name should be (is?) Temple of Apollo at Daphne. Then in description it can go into more detail of the Paradise. I think too the Seleucids can have some garden eye candy objects in the game.

  7. Serpents/dragons were also very common in Viking age art, specially Nidhogg. Nidhogg (A dragon entangled in the roots of Yggdrasil, it slowly eats the roots of the world tree while waiting for Ragnarok) Jormungand (The serpent that encircles the Earth)

  8. I'm thinking of adding new Norse shield textures that depicts boars, but I can't find a good source.. (I found Celtic ones tho, similar to the Gallic warship sails but that would be inaccurate if we'll use those.) There were three named boars in Norse mythology, Gullinbursti (Freyr's) Hildisvíni (Freyja's) Sæhrímnir (Served as food in Valhalla)

  11. I'd be in favor of deleting a few things there (perhaps moving then to the art_source repo). Certainly if they're considered to ugly by today's standards. The main repo should be a clean repo, not an archive of old stuff. That's what the art_source repo can be used for.

  17. We really do need sele_struct specific fountains and colonnades for the Seleucids. Colonnades were a defining feature of Antioch also! I think the library needs a faction specific model, or at least use the faction textures. I'd think the same for the Ptolemies but there's a bit too much of a disconnect between architectural styles for that to be possible

  19. History Articles Still Needed Britons: Epos: Fragment for second to last sentence: I would recommend combining it as a descriptive clause with the sentence before. Gaisaredos: It would be advisable to be more specific as far as the pronouns are concerned for coherency's sake. I could otherwise be difficult to understand. Druides: Parallel structure for the list: I keep the plurality the same during it. Curoca: The tense changes from past to present tense. This is a distracting issue. Uertamika Kilngetoi: The tense again changes. Staying in past tense would be advisable. Carbanto: Remove the commas from the second and third sentences. Simbalos: The word plough is spelled in the British way, which is not proper considering that some words have been changed to the American spelling. I would recommend having one or the other spelling form be used instead of both. Ovidos: No article.
