  3. Dear Developers and Community! Is there a way to sub-select a number of N from X selected units? E.g., I have selected 20 archers by double-click. Now I want to select only 5 of them. Currently, I do this with the rectangle, which is very often difficult when there are lots of units, frequently even different units mixed. In such situations, maybe a sub-selection function could be beneficial. Besides, can you provide me with some best-practice hints how to select a specific number of a certain type of unit from a large bunch of mixed units. E.g., I have a larger assembly of different units farther away from my empty tower and would like to have 5 archers garissoned there. What is the most recommended way doing this, i.e. how can I select exactly 5 archers from let's say 30+ different units? (to then send them to that empty tower) Thank you!
  4. Funny, our kids are siblings, too. What do you and Justus mean about controlling the same civ for the duration of a match? If 2 players have the same civ, they can control also eath other's units? Or also independent of the selected civs? Anyway, wouldn't this be what I suggested above, or is this something different?
  5. In general, I agree with you but see it from our current perspective, i.e. parent playing with kids, which is sometimes difficult regarding "team play". But I understand that this is no excuse and maybe no reason to put programming effort into it. We will better learn how to better communicate. But if my topic/question triggered some further thoughts beyond/besides the initial idea, I am happy, too.
  6. I'm really sorry guys and should pay more attention to keeping track of these things. Unfortunately, the kids and I have played so many further games that I have no clue when/in which game it happened. I can try to find the replay, but I am really not very optimistic to find it. Not that I fear the effort! PS: I checked but could not find that specific game anymore, sorry! Next time, I will note down date and time and try to take a screenshot and provide the replay - promised!
  7. @wowgetoffyourcellphone Dear Justus, thanks a lot for creating and updating this great mod! I have a problem with it, though, and hope that you have some hints for me to find the reason for my problem. I DLed this mod (with a25 build 25848, Windows 10) on 3 PCs with different results: On the 1st PC, after the DL the mod would not even show up in the list of enabled mods. Neither saving config and restarting, nor DLing once more helped. There was no error message. On the 2nd PC, after DL the mod showed up as enabled. After saving config and restarting, it still showed up as enabled, but the start image and everything else was as usual. There was no error message. On the 3rd PC, after DL the mod showed up as enabled. After saving config and restarting, the new start image showed an elephant with soldiers on top and at the top of the screen it said "Delenda est" etc. However, after restarting (I should have first started a game to see if the mod worked as expected), everything was back to usual, i.e. the original start image. ReDLing, saving config, and restarting did not help. There was no error message. Thanks a lot for your help!
  8. What about shared troops? A teammate tells me via mumble that he garrisoned some units in one of my CCs close to his territory that is under heavy attack. While he is fighting also on the other side and thus already very busy, he would like to give me control over his units. I can already now ungarrison, but then I have to tell him they are out and he needs to take over. Therefore, I thought that maybe taking/giving control from/to allied teammates could be an option. There are surely lots of hurdles and special situations to consider, and maybe it's technically too complex, but I just wanted to bring this up - for a mod or in-game.
  9. I briefly saw a message pop up in the middle and top of the screen about "... cannot be controlled" (not sure anymore, but "temple" was the first word). First, I wondered about its meaning, second why it appeared in English despite German language setting (I thought that all strings have been translated to German, but maybe that status is outdated), and third, why such a message appears at that place and in this format (no borders, just plain text, almost like error messages, but they look different and are left-aligned). Are there more messages like this? Sorry that I was not quick enough to take a screenshot; the message disappeared automatically after about 3 seconds.

  12. I experienced invisible fish (visible on the minimap but not in the scenery) with a25 RC2 the first time. Before three fish always jumped. I did not pay attention which kind of fish they were, though. Personally, I don't dislike showing fish jumping to make them more visible, but if that is not realistic or inappropriate for some kind of fish, then other solutions posted before are very nice. Thanks a lot! @Stan` Very nice! But why does the background change after 4 seconds?
  13. Apart from the technical aspects, you might want to consider the topic "fairness". I mention it because some such maps have comments pointing out that they might not be fair for all players, depending on where they start.

  15. Thanks, but that does not help, unfortunately. I tested the same PC, same monitor, same Windows 10 settings and same a25 RC2 with a Displayport cable instead of an HDMI cable (of which I had tested several ones before), and with the DP cable, there is 0 A.D. sound also in fullscreen mode. When I replace the DP by the HDMI cable, the game has no sound on fullscreen mode (only in windowed mode). I suspect that Intel messed up something that game developers might not be able to fix. If somebody has experienced the same problem (with 0 A.D. or other games in fullscreen mode), please share it here. Maybe it helps. Thank you.
