Well that is a thing that core problems might be solved during development but for packaging issues are responsible third parties not us usually some volunteer in those distributions (we do not package it like some other projects e.g. Libreoffice).

Well you very likely need to be part of core team but there also some projects started there by Stan where even core members do not have access to and i wish i had.

You can send pull request and I can accept it afterwards, if it helps.
