  1. Continue of helmets: Boe helmet: And renamed the wrong names: @stanislas69 how do we remove or move to old public the old helmets?

To continue the celtic faction Redesing - Visual Update done this helmet: 1024 texture vs 256 texture for game usage (Blender tip: Always bake the best resolution possible you can handle, because if you bake directly a 256 texture or 512 they will bake with 80% imperfections, if you can bake 2k textures and then rescale to 512 or 256 better).

Update: five texture; slightly moved the swords to fill the empty space, added the rope texture into the texture in case a weapon use it later (Bows for ex), Also polished a bit the sword texture for a cleaner and shiny version (Still want to have cubemaps reflections as a material for weapons and helmets reflecting the skybox). Gonna make two weapon textures, 1 As it is now and Golden version for not having to make multiple meshes for just a golden piece (so modders who need a golden sword just change the texture variant).   7. Re-exported again the blades (8 normal spears blades) manually dividing the faces. They are using parallax now.

  10. Axe wasn't supossed to be rendered , if i'm not wrong, specularity would also help with the blood look like. let see how it develops when i've made the specular map. Nope, can't figure yet how to make it drip like the reference.

  13. Just for prop's purpose, map's having rotten bones of an army and rused blades because of time. Like if possible in some time maybe make the celtic helmets in their damaged version when healths drop belows certain amount.

Today i was making the celtic unit props update, so when we talk about the spears i realized that everything is getting updated but the Weapons texture is still outdate and very low resolution wich make some weapons like swords like rubber toys so here are a few testing (Specially the bloodie weapons). Wildfire Art department: @LordGood @stanislas69 @wackyserious First textures were baked following the prop.weap.dds uv but i will change that to a better space usage and less repeated staffs or blades (Maybe include Aged weapons) Here the testings on celt sword: Comparisson with the spartan sword: Maybe with this merge the gladius posted in 2017.   15. Forgot to change the texture names on shield_E and shield_C. X = Actual scabbard, the modified is on the Left slightly modified
  16. @stanislas69 Made the orles as props to reduce amount of textures needed (Yes i guess i would end making the whole shields modular at somepoint ). i imagine shield orles would be used only by elite and champions shields. also the texture is a plain so any modder feeling like they want an orle for their shields just adjust the mesh and the uv to the shield shape and done. No more duplicate textures for shield with metal border. Files with all latest changes:Celtic_Shields.7z

  19. @Genava55 how long is the scabbard? and swords. i'm not sure i would add more details to the scabbard since can't be properly seen from afar. but going from this wooden triangle to a properly scabbard seems like an improvement.
  20. Im not very good with 2D programs, the artist behind shields after i'll bake the base shape and props is @wackyserious thats why i'm leaving all the layers. I would like to deliver all this new brit/gaul modifications to Alpha 24 with some modification/addition on helmets like correction of meyrick helmet name.
