Did not know that!! I was also talking with guys on RAT about this and they said that the remains of a 6'4 legionnaire were discovered somewhere in either Denmark or Holland. Obviously that was rare, but big people existed back then.

That's because they are plastic copies of the real thing Now to get an airsoft H&K G-36K would be cool! Germans know how to engineer stuff, dare I say it, even better than Americans Been paintballing, but airsoft would be sweet to try out.

It probably takes something in the order of $150,00-200,000 US to fuel that sucker up. And he'll burn a lot of that taking off 800 people, that is massive. I don't believe that the C-5 Galaxy, Antonov 224, or other large transport aircraft can carry that many. The Russians did build a monster ground-effect aircraft that could carry 1000 troops, but it only flew a few feet above the water (as was designed). The A380 is a truely amazing airplane and I can't wait to see one Better yet catch a ride on one Three classes: first, business, and economy, that has to be a first in modern air travel. Plus all the components and control features are the same on all Airbus aircraft, meaning that conversion from A310s, 320s, 330s, and 340s will be a snap. My dad is an aircraft mechanic and he says that Airbus definately considers the AMEs when designing their airplanes. Well Boeing has better get on the ball now, what with the 7E7 being cancelled.

And those "rocks" on Titan are actually globs of ice. Nice avatar by the way Argy -
Yeah each side will be finely tuned to deal with each possible threat. You just have to build the right mix of unit types to win. Ah another Warcraft III player

I have a funny story about Black Pete I had to fortune to attend a Dutch preschool in Canada (don't ask why I was there, ask my parents, I'm not Dutch BTW, had something to do with location I believe) when I was about 3 years old. At Christmas they had St. Klaas and Black Pete show up during the annual parent's dinner/talent show thingy. All of us were sitting on stage after doing some stupid songs and games for the assembled multitudes (it seemed like many hundreds, but was probably only about 150 people LOL). I got one look at this freaky "thing" coming at me that I ran off the stage to my parents. Unfortunately my dad was video-taping at the time and my humiliation is now preserved for posterity I did get back up there and had a few words from the big guy (can't remember what exactly, but mostly inane things we say to young kids) and then I got my gift (candy and maybe something else, I think) from Black Pete, who I discovered is a CROSS-DRESSER!!! LOL I was aware that they were just actors, but a 15 year-old girl in black paint and funny clothes is enough to freak out any 3 year old

So I got a haircut tonight.

Looks salvageable -
Agreed Cory. There was a general decrease in size from everything I've heard. I've seen Scottish basket hilt swords from the 1700s that I could not use because my hand wouldn't be able to fit through the grip. But on the other hand most reenactment equipment (built to period sizes) from ancient times seems to easily fit most modern reenactors.

Welcome Caleb! And I say it again Nate, I'm still not converted to Firefox

LOL That is true Although being bigger means that your shield covers less of you, even if you have a huge Celtic scutum-style body shield. That was something that happened during many battles between the Celts and Romans: big Celts were winged in the shoulder, leg, or torso with pila because their shields (while normal sized) were too small for them.

Which Country Would You Want To Go To More
Paal_101 replied to Uppy's topic in Introductions & Off-Topic Discussion
Italy - see avatar Britain - partially related to avatar, but also the tons of other history there. France - lots of great museums and see avatar Greece - to see Thermopylae would be out of this world! To be able to say "Xerxes was here!" or "Socrates walked along this path" cannot be calculated. Croatia - 50% of my genetic make-up comes from here Plus need to see Split (see avatar).
