  1. South China Tiger and Bactrian Camel are finished as the first chinese indigenous animals! Wild Bactrian Camels can be found in Northwestern China, so that is useful for me when adding it in.

  2. Another iconic Chinese mammal you cannot have China without, the Giant Panda! This adorable bear is entirely custom animated and I put alot of work into making the animations, so here is the animal symbol of China! Also I used a CC-BY-2.0 image for the texture if that is alright, it is Share-Alike so I kept to that license.

It is easy to judge the hosts of the game, but host cannot kick out every new player from the game as there is possibility of him/her being a smurf. Even if hosts would be doing the way which you are telling them to do, how many of new players would be staying to play 0ad? Basically such decission would make more people leave, even when there is not as many new players coming to the game. There is nothing for hosts to know that this person is a smurf, asking yourself every time is wasting time due games starting already for about 20 minutes which will last 10 due bad balance of the players.

  8. We cannot change any templates strings any more nor any user facing strings (today was an exception) else translators won't have time to finish for the september release. We are already six months late which means lower morale and motivation so I will not make it longer.

  9. Actually there have been although it was for the main website rather than the wiki. Some more technical documentation is on docs.wildfiregames.com. Mostly generated stuff except for the design document. Anyway what was suggested was to replace the wordpress by a hugo generated website and include cdns for various areas of the world using Cloudflare. Given the recent news I'm glad we didn't. The main issue was that we lose some of the simplicity offered by wordpress. Don't get me wrong I love git as much as the next programmer but I've never found it user friendly nor convenient for managing user facing docs. Maybe they made progress since then on the various platforms but I feel like wyswyg editors are still superior. Some stuff could be migrated from the main website so that it can be edited more easily like build instructions and whatnot or 0 A.D's story which is now outdated too. I'd also love to have some proper internationalization. Also since I manage all the running applications alone save from the lobby and the forums the goal was to reduce work by putting everything on gitea rather than maintaining Phabricator and Trac.

Consider setting, and exporting, the LD_LIBRARY_PATH=[absolute path to directory containing libraries] or LD_PRELOAD=[absolute path to specific library] environment variables in a shell script that is called before the pyrogenesis binary. See the manpage for `ld' at the documentation for the switch -rpath-link=dir for a description of the library search path order. But, I haven't worked with AppImages before, so there might be reasons to not do this. Also, you can use strace or ptrace to watch what directories are being searched for libCollada.so. Search paths for shared libraries are configured in /etc/ld.so.conf.d/* If you change the ld.so configuration then don't forget to run ldconfig as root to update the cache. However, changing such configuration might be an even worse idea, as it could have unintended effects on other binaries and libraries.

  12. What does anyone think about a change that would make it so ships could only be repaired if they were near a shipyard or dock? Instead of the ships having the ability to get repaired by any citizen worker near a shoreline, they could only get repaired by a "healing" aura of a shipyard (like a temple heals units)?

  14. @Stan` Why did we disable flare for observers? Is there a reason for that? I think allowing observers to see player's flare shouldn't be an issue. It's good for replays and observering the game in general.

  16. has interesting ideas but incomplete. My favorites are the torch mechanics.(fire) Siege and the walls. In this section 0 A D has not corrected it. It fails in other elementals such as the design of city itself.( In this case Empires Apart is a better "AOE2 clone" than AoE IV itself. It's only natural that they want to incorporate castle management like Stronghold Crusader 2.(They would have added more elements). The civilizations at the launch(release of the game) were unbalanced. It still seems inferior to the entire franchise. I think the ones who enjoyed it the most were those who are fans of Blizzard's RTS like StarCraft 2 players. The graphic is already personal and makes me hate the game. The zoom makes me claustrophobic. Second, it feels incomplete and empty, the game lacks charisma.(Ironically, because so nice sound design, But they try to appeal to casual group as far as art direction.) The biggest criticism he has on art is calling it "graphic like" and mobile game. It's as if they wanted to be cartoony( trendy) and without becoming AOEO.
