no, this is a community mod. The community has spoken on 5 of the MR's and these are the ones that should be added. I will revise the upgrades and see if they are of interest later.

The Syracusans The Syracusans are a Greek faction known for their innovation, cultural contributions, and energetic history. They tussled with the Carthaginians, Athenians, and Romans for control of Sicily. For a time, Syracuse was one of the largest, most powerful Greek states in the Mediterranean basin. The famous mathematician Archimedes was a son of Syracuse and helped his city with many inventions and mathematical innovations. In the game, they are a "Greek City-States" faction (Hoplite-focused army, a buildable Stoa, etc.), but with a "Successor States" access to the Library ("Archimedean Academy"), Siege Weapons, and Quinquereme warship.

I think there is a difference between politeness and being a good person. Many people are polite, but very mean, and I don't think many people fail to detect the meanness behind polite language in those cases. At the same time, many nice people use rough language, it is just more common in different vernaculars. Overall I don't think censoring particular words prevents mean people from being mean. In the case of JC and Shyft, they are both bad people (racist, nazis, ect) and use rough language as part of their efforts to feel supreme. Banning their use of insults will just make them use other words to pump out hate to other players.

Why? I think this goes exactly in the opposite direction. If you want to use a register that is more "honest and free" you still can without having any moderator judging your in-game conversation. The idea is *just* to give more information about the game and not criminalize players if they want to use a more aggressive register. I have an opposite view here. I don't feel entitled to convince anyone to change themselves on this. And I don't want to run behind people/waste time either trying to convince them of something. But I respect your opinion. EDIT: I have opposite experience about this. But this would be even better for you: if you like to play with these 'honest' people, you would have an indication where to find them.

well that escalated quickly

the 5 changes that were voted for can be added in 0.26.4 and could go on into a27. Maybe it is for the best that we postpone adding the upgrades to the community mod until after a27 is released, since this way they would get more playtesting and balancing time in the community mod for a27. This close to feature freeze, I think players want features they have more confidence in.

right. at the time I voted I hadn't noticed that the upgrades were civ specific, for instance. btw @real_tabasco_sauce don't make this personal, it's the worst thing you could do. no one wants to reject changes because they don't appreciate your work, and no one wants to feel obliged to accept changes out of appreciation of your work alone. that would be bad. (personally, I skipped that question, for various reasons that have been said already by others) anyway, mind that all civs can train mercs after capturing buildongs that train them.

No one reasonable will be upset with you. You did/are doing a great job. Assuming this all gets implemented into a27, there will be several new changes--maybe more than a24--and we did it without adding a new civ. That is a huge accomplishment. On this note, thanks to @wraitii and @Stan` for creating this project--I think it's been a huge success and one that makes a27 much more likely to succeed even though a27 will likely include a large number of changes. I really can't understand how some people could say you are toxic. I'm starting to believe that there's an Anti-JC Agenda going on, maybe ruled by... Anyway, to justify a lack of courtesy with the "I say the truth" card is typical from a person who ignores totally the relationship between content and form. Also, knowing some Rimbaud poems doesn't make you an educated person, maybe a learned one. As you surely know, education comes from the latin verb educo which means to extract/push out. Which is clearly referred to a process of self-awareness and development, not to the storing of informations in your brain. Ergo you are just as educated as my hard disk.

In the screenshot that seeh posted, not only was Shyft_Sierra being verbally abusive to leopard, but leopard was verbally abusive to Shyft_Sierra. "Your mother ____ dog Shyft_Sierra, and conceived you Shyft_Sierra," said leopard, in response to Shyft_Sierra's abuse. There is also a private statement that wang_wei engaged in verbal abuse of Shyft_Sierra. Two wrongs don't make a right. Please do not verbally abuse Shyft_Sierra just because he's verbally abusing you. Instead, calmly screenshot the misconduct, post it on the forum and do not get provoked. leopard and wang_wei, consider this a warning. If you engage in too much verbal abuse of other players then there will be a consequence, starting with mutes, and escalating from there. Shyft_Sierra had 36 infractions in the 0ad lobby that lead to mutes between October 30th and December 5th. leopard had two infractions and was muted on November 30th. wang_wei had no documented infractions in the lobby. In the future, please post evidence of misconduct as you observe it. Players, please be respectful of everyone, including those who are disrespectful toward you. Realize that players being disrespectful might have had troubled pasts, been victims of bullying at some point, and might not yet know how to react to it constructively. Please don't verbally abuse or bully others, as it is a cycle of abuse that causes harm, including to one's own self esteem. Please instead try to cheer up a person who is engaged in bullying, and help them act constructively.

Sometimes I can't tell if you are just an excellent troll. Regardless, you lost your title of most toxic. Step up your game

are you doctor organs, you look like a small boy. it only takes some money to pay our developers so that they can work on this full time then 0AD will be finished product. or a lot of C++ developers find 0AD and fix all lag and stuff.

Most vile people i have known, spoken to, etc are the most polite, becuase they have motivation to be, it costs nothing, and it gives them immense power of being perceived as good or civilized or reasonable, so they may get away with the most disgusting acts/behaviors no one honest ever could, jc or shyft are completely insignificant in this sense becuase they are direct and honest, they cant not be, they will insult/talk "rudely" this is something to be admired, not shunned. Look for malice in the polite, not the rude.
