  1. Today, while we were spectating a team game, Shyft_Sierra threatened to commit violence against me. I said nothing to him. Also, I haven't been talking behind his back. He could easily reply to this thread. Shyft_Sierra, animosity between us is imagined. I'm merely enforcing the established rules for Wildfire Games on everyone, equally. There's no personal conflict between us. Threatening anyone with violence is a legal violation. This will not be tolerated.

  6. you basically need to create this folder structure: my_map_mod.zip |_____ mod.json (e.g. https://github.com/0ADMods/han_china/blob/master/mod.json) |_____maps |_____skirmishes |_________my_map.xml |_________my_map.pmp

  7. Why is there a metal cost anyway? fortresses cost wood and stone, so why does this have a metal component? Why not just make it 200 stone and 400 wood?

  8. You can download autociv mod by nani which offers such a solution. @Stan` @user1 @Dunedan All said by the players above, this is constant, happens in every game and makes the game hard to enjoy, no regret by the player. Please act on that.

  9. It also lacks techs and other functionality. I agree for all your reasons and more. But that’s how we got here

  10. I see. I remember they complained we were using them as impromptu siege workshops and so bypassing the need for a fortress and proceeded to ruin it, which struck me as rather much like punishing the player for being creative with things. I used that as often as I could, not just for siege, when I realised it had veteran spearmen I always made some camps somewhere on my back line so I could make use of those veterans. All in all I would love the old camp with the complete original training roster of hastati, triari and Equites(veteran equites maybe?) with all the siege as well. It wont make the siege workshop a redundancy either as that still can be placed back home.

  11. this should then be installed by just dragging and dropping it in the game. But you can also just copy the unzipped folder into the mods directory and it should work (as long as you've set up the mod.json correctly: How to do that) See here for where to find the directories: https://trac.wildfiregames.com/wiki/GameDataPaths

  12. This was one of the mistakes from a23-->a24. Someone thought it was massively OP and made the camp useless in a24. It's been partially fixed, but I would have no problem going back to a23 where the camp was actually used (and wasn't OP imo). Now, it is very rare to ever see one built

  13. I always fill the Han's fields. I think I use less women than with other civs, but I'm not sure how many paddies. The last farm upgrade doesn't work for Han, maybe that is part of your problem. The community mod fixes that. It's supposed to be hotfixing issues, but also addresses urgent balancing issues and whatnot - I honestly lost track, except that it fixes the Han farming technology. It's available through the in-game mod selection.

  16. I think you already gave a nice answer to that issue. Some fields in art (let's say all the "serious" art) requires a certain amount of efforts to be at least understood, and consequentially a certain amount of time and energy: now, most of people lack of both for various reasons (work, family, duties in general, etc.) Let's say they cannot/don't want to pay the price in order to understand them, and that's okay. I think it has always been like this through history. I don't believe any kind of "cultural experience" is required in order to be happy, despite the link knowledge-wisdom-happiness is very popular through all the history of philosophy. I'm not saying such things cannot help, but simply they are not the only path. The real special and unique thing that the experience of culture (don't know if I'm using this word properly in english, with it I mean all cultural products like arts, philosophy, architecture etc. etc.) gives us is the ability to understand the world in a better way, and to organize our thoughts consequentially. The real big loss of a life without intellectual experiences is the lack of social and political consciousness in the individual, imho. Because listening to Bach, in our society, requires some preliminary efforts: you have to encounter his name somewhere, then be interested in him, then search his works and check if you like them. I know it sounds very easy to be made, but maybe for some people it is not so banal. I'll never forget the first time I listened to Trout Mask Replica by Captain Beefheart: it was one of the most ugly and unlistenable album I've ever encountered in my life. I red a lot about it, and I listened to it multiple times, and now I'm able to understand it conceptually and to appreciate it aesthetically. It required time and energy that I was willing to invest 'cause I love rock music, and lot of artist and critics that I respect loved that album. Maybe if I was too busy working 12 hours a day I wouldn't even have found the time to find his name exploring the internet, you know what I mean? I don't know if my point is clear, but I can summarize saying that art is something very elitist and most of the time talking about music/art tastes is almost like talking about the social class you are in.
