  1. I ran languagetool over the English source text in Transifex and it came up with some errors. Most are easily fixable just by using the search function in the source files. Use of serial comma is inconsistent. Sometimes, there is a comma before "and", sometimes not. The minus sign is often an en-dash or a different dash that is too long. Also, the minus sign is often used where a dash should be put (between sentence parts). In proper names with adjectives like "Ancient Greece", both the adjective and the noun should be capitalized (this is often not the case): other examples Ancient Egypt English Channel Rubicon River Italian Peninsula Central Asia Indus River Many compound words are written with a space instead of a hyphen. All examples below require a hyphen well equipped full grown well balanced cost effective well trained decision making chock full up to date only (when used as an adjective) This list was created keeping in mind that the source language is US-English. The following US-GB-English specifics came up: center vs. centre unauthorized vs. unauthorised civilisation vs civilization many derived forms of verbs need a double consonant in British English, but do not in US-English: worship-worship(p)ing, label-label(l)ed, travel etc. Usage of quotation marks is inconsistent. "example" vs. “example” (I prefer the latter) Antialiasing should be written with a hypen Therefore and moreover require a comma afterwards Disclaimer: These are just suggestions. I'm not native in English and I might be wrong about some of them... I also found a few singular errors that I reported directly in Transifex.

  5. I've played RTS since I was 8 , later online . I really love the effort put in to the game, and there is so much good stuff. But the lategadme with monks and Artillery is hugely imbalanced and gets too loose, which seems for me quite sad because its not the game itself that bad, more the out of balance military units. Artillery has in general way too much HP , Attack and it sucks that its undestroyable. Would be the first and great fix in my eyes. If anyone from the current development is seeing this, keep up the great work but please take a look at the lategame unit stats, for me they do make they game quite unpleasant to play on a regular basis.

  6. 1. Foul solution Create the map normally with 4 civs (2 teams), disable the AI for your civs, start the game and then switch between your civs by opening the developer overlay (see wiki/HotKeys) and selecting Change perspective, after that you can change the civ via the dropdown menu. 2. Mod solution Create a map where all 3 civilisations belong to the same player and change the template files. Usually the civ that you pick determines what kind of buildings and units you can make, you would need to change the {civ} string to {native} in some template files (e.g. templates/mixins/builder.xml or templates/template_structure_military_stable.xml. This ensures that a unit builds its native civilisation-specific structure and produces native civilisation-specific units from that structure. Ref: docs.wildfiregames.com/entity-docs/trunk.html#component.Builder 3. Advanced solution - Triggers Similar question came up via IRC 0ad-dev 8/Mar/16 @18:19 Ref: wiki/Triggers

  7. I'm a top 20 player and I disagree. It's the other way around: Artillery is rather weak, its close to useless. Monks: Healers / Priests They can be annoying but they are less and less seen in games Artillery: Catapults, Bolt shooters, perhaps siege towers

¿no? (puedo intentarlo , ahora tengo un tiempo libre) @Lopess @Lion.Kanzen @real_tabasco_sauce Disculpen las molestias*

Escaramuzador(Peltasta). Guerrero con cerbatana. -Disculpen las molestias*

  14. we are going to remember how history was to know how the Mayans would respond to an invasion Among the Maya, ambush was a favoured tactic; in response to the use of Spanish cavalry, the highland Maya took to digging pits and lining them with wooden stakes. Native resistance to the new nucleated settlements took the form of the flight into inaccessible regions such as the forest or joining neighbouring Maya groups that had not yet submitted to the European conquerors. Spanish weaponry included broadswords, rapiers, lances, pikes, halberds, crossbows, matchlocks and light artillery. Maya warriors fought with flint-tipped spears, bows and arrows, stones, and wooden swords with inset obsidian blades, and wore padded cotton armour to protect themselves. The Maya lacked key elements of Old World technology such as a functional wheel, horses, iron, steel, and gunpowder; they were also extremely susceptible to Old World diseases, against which they had no resistance.

  17. https://www.native-net.org/na/native-american-horses.html the native Americans quickly included it in the first centuries of conquest. In the cases of 0 A.D that are hypothetical cases. The other civs would bring horses or even elephants, but I see that as unlikely. Suppose Roman, Carthaginian and Greek case. They would bring horses. The natives would have to capture and use Spanish equipment. At some point They would capture an invader out of curiosity. And out of curiosity, they would to the captive the way of doing war of his people. The case of Gonzalo Guerrero. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gonzalo_Guerrero

  20. However, the crossbowmen are not available until P2, by which point the increase in boom speed would be less significant. Players may try to race to P2 early just to train this particular unit, but that will hinder other aspects of their economy and this unit is also the weakest soldier unit in the game. If the price decrease is not sensible, then we must increase their attack. So either 36 pierce attack per 3 seconds, or 12 attack per second.

27. No, the archery range. ---- but and since you bring the topic----- What if I would like natives on horseback if they capture a stable. With the Spaniards, pre-Columbian groups could access to the horses and cavalry. This happened in North and South America Always to avoid losing advantage, the Spanish tried to prevent the Indians from learning to ride a horse.
