AI banter: The (enemy) AI sends scripted messages during the game: aggressive/arrogant when attacking, Valiant/confident when defending, begging/pleading when near defeat. Could be a nice space for some creativity and humor. Could be (partially) civ-specific/historic. Since it's "just" written sentences (taking only few mb's), we could have hundreds of them. Lot's of variety. Everyone in the community could come up with some Messages along the line of: "By Jupiter, I'll have you flayed for this" (after a successful raid on a Roman AI) "Carthago Delenda Est" (anytime a Roman AI attacks a Carthaginian player) "Vae Victis" (after Gaul AI destroys a Roman CC) "I'm sure we can find a way to settle this little squabble somehow" (when AI is near defeat) "By the gods, have you no mercy?" (when killing AI women) "I will erase from memory, your very existence" (when big AI army attacks) "Your walls will not protect you from the might of Ahura Mazda" (when Persian AI sees your walls) "You're town looks like it needs a remake" (when AI attacks) "Zeus will not abandon us" (when attacking a Hellenic AI) "Just because you do not take an interest in politics, does not mean politics won't take an interest in you" (when you refuse an alliance with Athenian AI) "The only true wisdom, is in knowing you know nothing" (when Athenian AI utterly destroys a player) “Spartan woman are the only ones who give birth to men” (When Sparta AI attacks) “He is richest who is content with the least, for contentment is the wealth of nature.” (random, passive Athenian AI) “I count him braver who overcomes his desires than him who conquers his enemies, for the hardest victory is over the self.” (Hellenic AI when defeated) "I shall make Egypt taste the taste of my fingers" (when Kushite AI attacks Ptolemies) "where they make a wasteland, they call it peace." Feature freeze, string freeze, translation freeze, commit freeze and I'm frozen to this chair. The proposed feature reminds me of "hidden civs" feature, so that the opponent can't adapt to the enemies civ and has to scout first. @Wendy22 got some experience with coding?3 points

Game needs move-attack [not to be confused with attack-move]. Chasing units should be able to attack while still chasing the fleeing enemy unit. Would be nice to see, that way you don't see, f.e., a sword cavalry catching up to a fleeing enemy archer and stop to attack, only to see the archer run out of melee range.2 points

Or that... Thanks. My Latin is a little rusty, and by rusty I mean nearly non-existant Sum, es, est, sumus, estis, sunt is pretty much what I remember from high-school... Oh, and the compluvium and impluvium of the Roman domus, which actually seems to be missing in the Roman house models in-game, so I'll add that to my wishlist for alpha 24..1 point

That would need first a change in gamesetup that allows player to chamge some settings (like civ, teams, colour), right? Attack while moving seems a better name for the concept, no?1 point

Moravia (c. 833–907) was probably the least significant; it interacted both with the Byzantines and the Franks/Germans though. The Khazar Khaganate (c. 650–969) was a Byzantine ally and trading partner, although there was some tension on the Crimea; it adopted Judaism to be able to trade with both Christian and Muslim states. The Bulgarian Empire (c. 681–1018) was the great rival of the Byzantine Empire during this period; they competed with each other for control of the Balkans; the Bulgarian Empire came quite close to taking over the Byzantine Empire, but eventually the Byzantines prevailed and gradually conquered them. The Rus' were Swedes who invaded and settled a vast area between the Baltic and Black Seas, parts of which were later known as Ruthenia or Russia (named after Rurik, founder of the Rus'). Their capital was Kiev. The Rus' launched a raid on Constantinople once but eventually became Byzantine allies and trading partners, converted to Eastern Orthodoxy, assisted in defeating the Bulgarian Empire, and supplied the Byzantines with the first Varangian Guard.1 point

Great Moravia yeah I am in it, because that was, where I live, I can definitely find smth about it if you would like later on.1 point

Which among the three is most significant with relevance to the current factions? Might include them after working with the Umayyads.1 point

You probably should consider including the Rus', Khazars, the First Bulgarian Empire, and Great Moravia then.1 point

From those names it seems you're focusing on c. 800 A.D., which is sensible. I'd strongly recommend to include Saint Boniface as a Carolingian hero. Charles Martel and Pepin the Short are also worth considering. As for the Byzantines, the Justinian dynasty (6th C) is probably too early and has more in common with late antiquity than high middle ages, so I don't think Belisarius, Justinian, and Theodora are suitable. Personally I would recommend the Macedonian dynasty (867–1056), under which the Byzantines peaked, although it's a century later than the Carolingians. They have many potential hero candidates, just look at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Roman_emperors#Macedonian_dynasty_(867–1056) for a start.1 point

I would love to see Delenda Est in the mod.io, udapted, and with more players that now doesnt play because the steps that need the game to play it. BTW, how it will work? You will be able to install mods within the 0ad client, like the battle of wesnoth addon list?1 point

Usually in all the strategy games, the game continues even if the leader leaves the room. But in this game when the leader leaves the game, the game overs. Do you have any solutions for this problem in the new version?1 point
