Have 3 capture anim variations, like the ones in DE. They play these capture animations when capturing. Building player color flashes back and forth as being captured. Can flash from player color to white and back (say, fades back and forth rapidly over about 1 or 2 seconds), or flash from player color to capturing player color (the one capturing it the most). Also, play capturing sound FX. 1-5 soldier have individual cheers and yells, 6-15 have a "small crowd" sfx, 16-30 have a "medium crowd sfx, and 31+ have a "large crowd" sfx.3 points

Good, well finally I have feedback on this These helmets have been sitting around for two years.2 points
-
Please take a look on how the helmet fits in the head in the following reference, the bottom edge line of the helmet should end very close to the eyebrows and the face guards in each side must extend to the chin. The model in this render looks like it's a very small helmet that doesn't fit enough (just look how high the helmet rests in the head) Also some geometry on the visor to break the straight pointiness of the form would make it look better. There are certain structures that you can build in Neutral Territory: 1. Docks (Well, actually it could be built even in your enemy's territory) 2. Civic Centers 3. Military Colonies 4. Roman Encampment (also doesn't respect territory at all) 5. Structures that I have not listed yet. (Wooden Towers? I haven't checked if Ulysses removed these) Edit: The Mauryans have Mobile Dropsites (Worker Elephants) so they're they have the really annoying strategy for stealing your resources. Of course, it's a risky, time-wasting tactic.2 points

Promotion loop will be the capturing animation. That's why you don't see a specific "capture" animation in the roadmap. Promotion animation will be triggered only once when a unit is actually promoted. IMO they would look silly with an animation loop kicking to the wall. What I think it is needed is some kind of audio loop spawned where the building is being captured with the sounds of soldiers shouting/cheering noise. Maybe some other visual cues like the building flashing in a particular color or something. We don't have to rely on identifying which kind of animations the units are playing in order to know what is happening.2 points

Or maybe cheer up with a banner or something. Like a typical noble would do when entering a city.2 points

We will need textures for units of the following fellas: -Guy in the right with the "armpit-level-skirt" And from here the fully-armored gentlemen: (note the right one also has futurama-bender-like plating in the arms) Here's some help and ideas to create the textures! easy and fun!1 point

Needs to be for 2 passengers, anchor for 4 horses. Just the chariot no horses. Bonus: textures for the two units in the first image: Hey! here is some help in how to create textures in Blender!1 point

A good starting point would be adding the armour of the legs and trump in the elephant skin texture, and then do the armour of the right side of the texture with gold/bronze plating. Hi, This map, it is supposed to be a rough representation of the siege of paris, in 845 led by the vikings, led by a Norse chieftain named "Ragnar". (It does not follow all the history). Vikings had a fleet of 120 ships, 5,000 men, they went trough the Seine, arrived to paris, entered and plundered it. A plague broke out in their camps, but the franks did not have a good effective defense against their besiegers, they paid them 7,000 french livres and the viking invasion was over. (If i made a mistake, please, correct me). For the showcase of this map, i wanted to do something different, trying to make it more interesting and vivid. (I'm not good with words/writing/speaking, but i will try). again, It does not follow all the history. So i tried to write a history. And so, it begins. A dark and infamous day inside the walls, after the first brutal assault, the morale was getting low as the soldiers and the people who had a house/family in the other side of the city, was practically in ruins and dead, few survived the massacre and. The king didn't send all the troops as there were reports of a big fleet of warships coming down through the Seine and after seeing how two drekar warships smashed and shattered one side of the wall of the exterior city, he didn't want to take a chance against them. The fear started to instaurate in every living human inside the inner city, when they heard the wips of trebuchets, the sound of flaming arrows and rocks flying, hitting and putting down everything they reach. But that, wasn't all, the screamings, the clash of steel, the burning brothers, the call for battle, the hunger for blood led by the invasor. The franks had an advantage, a big gate holding the pass to Paris. The soldiers made a barricade to hold the attack till the survivors reached Paris and prepare for battle. Inside the city, everyone was getting ready to battle, there were a call for arms to every male who can fight, to defend and avenge. Some had the orders to evacuate females or to build barricades in the main gate. Some of the new recruits were send to the nearest armory to get armor and weapons. All the city was practically running to get defenses and preparing for the next attack. Some by recruiting, some by getting to the armory, some by carrying food to the walls.. Those who couldn't fight, were waiving and cheering those who will die for them, lovers, mistresses, wifes, daughters were crying for the men. For those who will use their bare body as a shield to protect them against all evil. For those who will stand against the invasor. The big walls of Paris had a tiny line, not strong enough to resist a ship. So, they ordered to build barricades and fortify that position, as there is the mayor weak spot. Paris, in its mayor crowded and paranoid splendor. You may ask? What about the ruined city? What about the threat? - Soon - If you enjoyed the last 60 screenshots, perhaps you want to see more and don't get any spoliers, but sorry, i have to show this for everyone who said the magic words: "Where can i download it, i want to play it". I'm truly sorry, i would like to play it too, but it's very laggy even in the map editor without running it and it's not finished yet. IT'S FINISHED!!! It is a shame it throws an OutOfMemory Error . I couldn't take the too many screenshots, it was truly laggy and crashed every time. Hope you enjoy Aerial view, dissapointing view, the shame view. Feedback, suggestions, corrections are welcome, even if you want to write a text for an image, do it! Let it out! Just send the text and the image for inbox. (If you do, preserve the context please) And many thanks for all the artist of the game, i encorauge you to make more artist stuff: Props, objects, dead npc's (Not the animation), whatever you want, as someone like me, may use it. Really, it's not enough and i don't have the time neither the skill to do it myself.1 point

We could also add an additionnal expenditure to compensate that new income: for example, military structures would have a maintenance cost, while civilian ones would produce taxes. That would force the player to keep developing its economy, even in phase 3 when most of its income come from trade.1 point

You know the manpower we currently have and the priorities in the list. There are still animals unfinished that are more common than amazon animals, so those will come first.1 point

I'll find some time to go through the forums and tickets updating animals list.1 point

I don't forget, but I don't want to open a lot of task threads if they're not going to be used. I'll post more when the tasks are being started/assigned/worked on1 point

I don't think that's a good idea to do it that way. We really don't want to encourage the other two ways too much, but putting them on the same tab would make it seem as if they are equally important. Also, as the information about SPI applies to both paying via credit card and PayPal it shouldn't "be on the same level", so I don't really think that much is gained by putting them on tabs. What I do think we certainly should change is put the information about where the money goes at the top, it feels a bit hidden/"forgotten" there at the bottom. What do you think @Jeru?1 point

While territorial taxation does sound like it would get the job done, it kind of works around my original point regarding city building. A house trickle would work great though1 point

Here are two other shields. Are shields of auxiliary troops, recruited into vexillationes legionariae of the legions II Augusta, III Augusta, III Gallica, IV Scythica, VI Ferrata, VII Gemina, IX Hispana,XII Fulminata , XX Valeria Victrix and XXII Primigenia. (Note: in the second shield I took poetic license, the umbo is a Gorgoneion) scutum2auxilia.svg scutum3auxilia.svg - For any interested - I'm summarizing and translating a sort of family tree of the shields from the V B.C. to the II A.D., so as to be also used for the main MOD, what do you prefer... to open an upgradeable thread (Where?) or attach a txt file here? (Meanwhile, I attach the draft for your evaluation) albero scudi.txt A greeting PPS There is a way to create a border with recurrent waves as in the first photo?1 point

Nah, I'd say it's central to the topic Donating money is not a decision one should take lightly, so shining light on the process is a good thing1 point
-
Indeed. I was wrong. A simple search in my mailbox brought up an email from SPI which, among other things, says "0 A.D. Thank you for your contribution in support of 0 A.D.! " followed by the amount donated. I feel shameful now and I am sorry if I have misled anyone. I hadn't seen it till now. To conclude, there IS proper notification when donating to 0 A.D. @ScottyMcpancakes needn't worry1 point
-
Well, the best way to help the project is to give your time if you have any skills which can be useful And after that in priority comes helping out by testing the game and tell people about it. Only in third place is donating Not sure what we can change, adding another way to donate would complicate things unnecessarily (especially since all services has got some kind of fee and the more spread out the money is, the less we get to spend for the game). Don't worry though, donating is completely optional and not necessarily the best way to help either as I said above1 point

That's more formation handling than animation. It should be possible in the long run. But it will require some iterations of formation handling.1 point

I like the part when it's mentioned that soldiers of the front line were replaced by soldiers of the back when wounded. I don't know if it's technically feasible to put such mechanism in the game, but if it is, that would be really really cool.1 point

Oshron, you know how in 0 A.D. some civilizations get the ability to capture and tame animals that other civilizations can't tame (elephants and/or camels, I think)? Well for Godstorm the Egyptians should be able to capture and tame antelope/gazelles. Egyptians as early as the Old Kingdom kept herds of tame antelope (gazelles, bubal hartebeest, and oryx, maybe other species) for food.1 point
