  3. Don't worry, it's not for the game, it's a mod. (I believe that currently nothing in 0ad originates from AI). We don't have many 2D artists in the community, and dealing with 3D art, code, and everything else is enough for me. I'm not just a fan of AI or large corporations, but it's a tool that's available.

  6. @Lopess Don't use ChatGPT for generating images. Try to find some better AI image generator. That said, I wouldn't want this game to use AI for generating its art.

These faces are generative AI products, I used the Persian face texture update which I committed some years ago and instructed it to retain the UV placements and change the ethnicity from ethnic Persian to ethnic East Asian. I’ve read this thread and was just wondering if the stance regarding AI content has changed. In my workplace we adapt some AI integration with some cases but retain majority of our work to be done without it. This one is also quite interesting, I have loaded some of my old screenshots for new texture features, and instructed AI to “try” to reconstruct the image into “historically accurate” other cultures similar to the generations below. AI may also helpful for concept visualizations for possible new content such as mods or new features. From the images below, I think artists can simply work around and create something it. Generative AI is still a work in progress and usually faulty, but it could also become useful if trained thoroughly and procedurally.

  15. This is exact my feeling about this too. It was better oversight over eco due to very different gather rates, especially for stone and wood. Not that fun observation: When a worker gets killed, a male dies as female amimotion and a female as male. Watch this in 0.1x speed and you can recognize this.

  19. Wheelbarrow and Carts aren't that essential are they? Almost no one gets them unless they have rez to burn.

  21. I saw this the other day and it made me smile. When we named the game, we didn't intend to get to the top of the list... Ha! Congrats on the latest release all, glad to see the project still making forward progress!
  22. I also have another idea that comes to mind quite often: when defeat is clearly inevitable, Petra should type “gg” and resign. Ragequit behavior could be added as well. Watching it try to rebuild from scratch somewhere on the map with just 4 units against my full army is a bit of a waste of time. You’re welcome. Here’s a new attempt: 1v3 on the same map that I shared earlier. This is the first time I’ve won a 1v3 on Very Hard. The Petras had random civs and random behavior: two Germans and one Carthage.   24. I definitely agree with this. Even just the ability (as you mentioned above this) to locate a tower or fortress and go around it would greatly improve it. Other thoughts I have: it wastes time killing women when there are more important targets near by, it never targets high-priority targets like Siege Rams, Heroes, and ranged units, and (as I’ve definitely said in other topics), it never upgrades it’s old sentry towers.
  25. Yep, that diagram shows what happens in circle placement (I was doing some diagrams a time ago to visualise dynamics.) As I mentioned in another post, I think this is similar to football formations. In a circle, players on the borders most of the time face early pressure and frequent 2v1 situations, at least in the 1111 vs 2222 setup. But with random groups, river or stronghold dynamics are different. That's why I avoid playing circle placement, or at least I make variations like 2v2v2v2 or FFA. Almost always, they send me to the border; most players want to be in the pocket, because the border in circle placement is like that football position that receives more tackles . The game has so much possibilities worth of being explored
