I was going to comment on how awful that is. More and more privacy is being lost every day. -

0 AD has good visibility in its niches, Linux games, it literally has no competition in that branch. I mentioned to Stan a while ago that he should publish on another indie store, and I saw that it's popular there, at least in strategy gaming niche. On the internet it has been losing visibility along with the decline of RTS. Real-time strategy games (RTS) are a genre that innovates very little. They tend to sell very little and fail to appeal to a wide audience. There are many videos with such analyses. I don't know if I should have more of a presence on X. I think X is quite huge; the people from those platforms are also on Threads, which is connected to Instagram, all this in the face of Facebook's precarious situation. Facebook increasingly resembles a no-man's land, filled with memes and mainstream news, A horrible algorithm, it seems like Threads is taking space away from FB itself. https://www.nytimes.com/2026/07/05/technology/threads-meta-twitter-x.html -
Gallo-Romans Composition with auxiliary tribal troops from Western Europe. Very powerful Romanized troops scattered in Cologne. Heavy barbarian cavalry of Alamanni and Franks. I know it only lasted less than Palmyra. I like the concept, plus Dominate troops are starting to appear. If we wanted Aurelian's empire, what would we call it?

Very interesting, I thought about that but I must be careful. I thought a lot about Christian iconography. I have some examples of Roman painting and late painting. Mostly to add effects on top of the drawing. There is a statue of Constantine.

Civ: Germans (Cimbri, Suebians, Goths)

Imperator of Rome is a very good, very immersive game, and its Paradox community has some great ideas. -
The information above is not 100% from a single source. You can make corrections, and I will take them into account for a second version. For now I am reading about Mithraism and Persian Zoroastrianism. A bit about earlier Semitic religions in the area. I would like to know the interpretation of this image. He looks like the sun god. Is similar to Malak-Bel or Malak-Bal, or his Roman version of the sun. I looked for the meaning of that in the statues and figures of gods. Many Roman statues make the gesture of addressing their troops. They apparently "ask for the floor" and for their listeners to remain silent. The other thing is something I see in the statues of Roman emperors: having an orb in their hand. Another idea is this. I plan to draw it several times, in various ways.

Age of Empires is now owned by of Activision. Is this the end of the franchise? At least for this decade? They also laid off a lot of people. -
On the usage of AI to generate 0 A.D. content
Nicolaus_von_Kues replied to wowgetoffyourcellphone's topic in Official tasks
Basically, it's my drawing over the AI correction, and then I redraw over it. The difference is that it saves me time correcting the symmetry of the pic. I also made corrections to another drawing, but they were minimal. There are already open-source AI programs with open-source models and without these problems of commercial AI. There are still years of development ahead. Another problem with AI is that it lacks human judgment, and everything looks artificial and boring. Flyers created with AI all look superficial and boring, very fake. Everything competes with everything else: the text with the color, the composition with the saturation of elements; everything wants to stand out. -
; I have several ideas from this group. I plan to create pieces from this group for various cultures of this era. That's why I asked for help to investigate the inspiration behind them.

https://www.livescience.com/archaeology/romans/altar-to-sol-a-rare-1-900-year-old-monument-dedicated-to-the-roman-god-of-light-and-used-in-a-secret-underground-ritual Mithraism and various Mesopotamian myths and beliefs speak of triads of gods; it is important to know why there are always 3 gods: one lunar, another celestial, and a third, which is sometimes Venus and sometimes cosmic. This is in Scotland on the other side of the Roman world, always the ritual of Helios with Mithras, in some has been found with the god of the moon. While searching for Babylonian deities and Middle Eastern myths, I found that Gilgamesh sacrifices the celestial bull. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bull_of_Heaven This is similar to that of Mitras, obviously Mitras is more advanced and later. It's interesting how remnants of religious syncretism remain. The bull is sacred in Semitic cultures.

I made a post asking for references. What do you mean by the original? I used several references. I created it from many interpretations of Helios. I used one I saw as a base. It can be easily changed.

I'm starting to work on some illustrations of the shields. The drawing still needs some effects. This is Malak-Bel, the solar god. I made him look similar to Helios in the drawings and poses. With one hand he prepares to speak/bless, and in the other I believe he holds the world.

Malakbel or Malak-Bel sun god of Palmyra. It is not the only representation, but it is one of the most powerful. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Malakbel

What I need is for details of the art to be visible. I need examples to decorate those hot animal and humanoid figures (gods).

Is that what your religion says? It's not the first time I've seen someone from your religion saying that something needs to change.

The problem is that forums have been abandoned, as developers nowadays mostly interact through social media and Discord. We used to have a more varied internet. -
Are you saying that culturally they were more dressed?

according to understanding the new programming languages would make it easier to create a game from 0.
