  1. The texturing and models are well done. It's more of a design problem for sure. We don't have a lot of good inspiration or concept artwork for them. Those AC:O screenshots are a rich source of ideas though!
  2. Yes, but unfortunately you have to make arrows into heat-seaking missiles, which I think a lot of people agree is undesirable.
  3. I share your frustration with a lot of the territory bugs. I hate the weird loops and bubbles too. Also, allies taking over your terrain is annoying. This is especially prevalent from AI allies who love to do this for some reason. What I think needs done though is that allied borders should have stronger weight against each other so that they resist each others expansion more. Couple that with some border calculation fixes to get rid of the weird loops and bubbles and I think we got a winner.

  8. I have no idea what @Yekaterina is talking about; we're not implementing any German faction for next alpha in the main game. The community poll and momentum is clearly for Nomads (Scythians and Xiongnu) to be included next in the main game (largely for the unique gameplay possibilities). The discussion around Germans over the past few weeks has largely been around fixing/adding them for TM and DE until that comment. What is your contention with this comment?

  10. I see your point. In my head I'm thinking of DE's heroes, where you get access to them from the very beginning. Perhaps a -50% build time bonus in the City Phase would make it impactful. In that case, I'd make it ranged and not global.
  11. The hero would have both auras, the military one and non-military one.
  12. I have no problems with your suggestions here. They seem a bit conventional though. I wish we could go through and reevaluate all of the hero auras. I think all heroes could have a primary and secondary aura. 1st aura is some kind of ranged bonus (strong, but focused), 2nd one is global (weak, but global). Then one of these is military-focused and the other is economic/training/building/etc. If you want 2 military auras, then they are weaker than if you only have 1; same thing with a completely economics-focused hero. With that in mind, maybe something like this: "Empire Builder" Global All buildings -10% build time and resource cost "Great Standing Army" Ranged: 60m All Human Soldiers +10% attack rate All War Elephants +10% additional attack damage and speed
  13. No, I mean you find sheep, goats, cattle on the map; they become yours; then you corral them for the trickle.

  16. For me, it's probably the roof texture that looks too similar to the Gauls and Britons. I think the texture I posted above is an improvement of making them look more distinct. For the Stables, I think I'm too used to the "Horse Corral" from DE and which maybe something more like that would be done. I'm also not sure if the early Germans (whether Cimbri or Suebians) would have a big Siege Arsenal structure, but we might have to make it necessary since all of the other civs have one. That is a civ design issue though, not art.
