To recombine civs to generic civs would lose distinction of the civs you lose. The Athenians and Spartans are very different and would lose that difference with recombine to generic Hellenes. You would also lose access to awesome civ like Seleucid, ptolemaic egyptians, and Maurya Indians. "Original" six civ design was flawed and there is no reason why the civs in game now cannot have "choices" when upgrading phase. That aspect not lost, just not implemented. There are many forms these choices can be made or had. For instance it was mistake to remove technology pairs, a mistake I fix in my mod. These choices could be made bigger when phasing up, like in Age of Mythology. There is no shortage of good (and bad) idea, only shortage of will. -
Maybe dog can circle around before laying on ground? Would be neat one to have for idle and maybe rare easterr egg animation.

Yoddha warriors should be like suicide unit. Charge 20 into enemy buildings and destroy 1 or 2 crucial building, but they themselves die then easy. -
... Why not just do this in balance repository if it is experiment for balance attempts? Why do this in public svn repository? Isnt balance branch github the place for these experiments? Same for the weird decision to disable formation a couple alpha ago.

The popular idea of "Republican" Rome vs. "Imperial" Rome is wrong. Rome was empire long before the rise of the Caesars. Also, "republic" is form of government, while "empire" is the form of state (though the distinct is not 100% clearly defined). Two different things. So rough what happen was this: Government Monarchy -> Republic -> Principate -> Dominate State City-State -> Local Power (Latin League) -> Hegemony -> Empire (all of this happened over the course of the Republic, before rise of Caesar) For the sake of video game, using the Republic / Empire distinction could still be okay, because it is popular misconception. Though, going for more accuracy might make it more interesting. Rome (Republican) - Part 1 Rome, based on Punic Wars era Rome (Principate) - Era of "5 Good Emperors" when the empire was at height. The emperors maintained the fiction of republic and "first citizen." Rome (Dominate) - Here you see the 'Late' or 'Eastern' influential era, Constantine to Justinian. The "first citizen" ideal is now completely abandon for a Eastern autocracy.

I think best idea would be "chicken coop" upgrade for corral that spawns free chickens. Other than that, this proposal is way too much, maybe joke?

Agree with Sander. A15. maybe Enrique can make a set of detail objects (roofs, columns, props, windows, architecture detaul) that can be used on the whole set, and then orther artists can use them in their work to unify the whole set. -

still additional management for little gains. By the point in game wherer you are using siege weapons you don't want to have to manage these things. As match continues and pop rises, it should be designed to decrease micro and go more macro IMHO. -
I don't know what happen either. I download again and it works now. The tiles look much better. It's a shame the parallax materials are broken (get bad artifacts since svn commit some weeks ago). I tried the new CC mesh and everything looks good as far as I can tell with the bugy texture materials.

Yes, the manpower is represented by the populaton cost. It is abstracted because it is a game. -

I rather just see crews manning the siege weapons. Just actors though. No need to add more micromanagement. However, it would be good for modding to have the capabulity to do this. -
Is Xerxes really suppose to fire that fast? Is that bug? Looks very bug. Otherwise I like Roflness videos.
