  1. AFAIK Henry_Jia had occupied himself with it but also kanetaka(?). But it is indeed a difficult task to do.
  2. This problem is a known issue. Currently people work on a new pathfinder but I don't know about the progress.
  3. Indeed, with the new release the game will also be available in Russian.
  4. Andrettin, there is a trigger map based on a historical event. http://www.wildfiregames.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=18884 One problem, it has no triggers (yet).
  5. Ah, the unit rosters have got quite some changes since. (But that should be solved within a few weeks when a new release comes out)
  6. So you did download the release of RotE? (That means you haven't seen the best of our mod yet)
  7. No, it isn't really historical based. It is just mostly experimental trigger-work. This map is actually the first one to be such trigger driven. There are some maps that demonstrate the usage of trigger (survival of the fittest and Gallic Field) but it doesn't match the amount of code and complexity of our map. (Currently is has over 2000 lines of trigger code compare to Survival of the Fittest's 200 lines.) With Alpha 17 will probably do a release of this map so that users only have to download it and play. It could however use some play testing and the release with Alpha 17 is likely not the final one.
  8. Right, the text I quoted earlier is dated at the Tang Dynasty. However it is likely that he used earlier sources as rhinos where near to extinction in his time and not likely to be used en masse during the Tang dynasty: @wolflang: do you use SVN or Alpha 16?
  9. That Covered Swooper is likely indeed no Han version. A Chinese Historian told my that there is only pictorial evidence of Song version which however do not match the descriptions provided The Han Covered Swooper is said to be covered with hides: Some texts like these are talking about a rhinoceros hide but not everyone agrees at that.
  10. Just quoting from the same link: But then again, Wu Gang Che would be a more proper name for our Arcuballista/Siege Crossbow. The Shoushe Nu variant of the Siege Crossbow is indeed from the Tang Dynasty.
  11. According the article I quoted above the Siege Tower was already in use in the Warring States period and was still in use during the Han Dynasty. A better translation/choice would be Long Che (High Cart) instead of the Lin Chong Lu Gong Che (Duke Lu's Overlook Assault Cart)
  12. We currently have these: Siege Tower (Lin Chong Lu Gong Che): http://www.grandhistorian.com/chinesesiegewarfare/siegeweapons-chongche.html Siege Crossbow (Shoushe Nu): http://www.grandhistorian.com/chinesesiegewarfare/siegeweapons-chuangzinu.html What do you think of them?
  13. In SVN you need to create a mod.json file that holds various info to get recognized by the new mod selector. Look for example at Aristeia, Millennium A.D. or Rise of the East.
  14. You know, all these tactics give me the idea that there isn't much about tactical combat in A16 (with mixed forces). (spam / rush are used way too much ) Luckily I have SVN
  15. Unfortunately we don't have a comprehensive list ATM, but for the buildings it is like every other civ with the exception of the Government Center. List of buildings (with its current translation => without having adapted it to your suggestions): Civic Center: Chéng Zhèn Government Center: Zhi Hui Zhong Xin House: Wū Farmstead: Cāng Fáng Corral: Shòu Juàn Storehouse: Chǎng Barracks: Bīng Yíng Blacksmith: Tiějiàng Market: Mào Fáng Temple: Miào Yǔ Fortress: Chéng Bǎo Defense Tower: Dū Outpost: Tún Bǎo Palisade: Jiàn Stone wall: Yōng Stone wall (gate): Chéng Mén Stone wall (tower): Yōng Dū Dock: Bù Farm (rice field): Shuǐ Tián I think a difference you could assume is that the influence of the Government Center is national where the Civic Center is regional. (You can build multiple CC's but only 1 Government Center)
  16. Hmm, apparently my reply went missing (did I forgot to press the post button?) Anyway, here it is again: I had a bright idea to check the chinese transifex translations: Civic Center: Shìzhèng dàtīng (市政大廳). Literally (=> google translate) it means City Hall or Town Hall. Storehouse: Cāngkù (倉庫) Warehouse Fortress: Chéngbǎo (城堡) Castle What do you think of these translations? In our more recent docs we actually left out buildings like the Medical Center or the Siege Workshop. The Government Center is still present though. It is a building that either has unique technologies that are researchable or (if there are not enough unique technologies) bonuses things like farming or territory. I don't know if Military Commander's Camp is an appropriate translation for that?
  17. Woah, that's a huge navy list! (In 0 A.D. a civ normally has 3, maybe 4, warships and you come with 9 ) Anyway, thanks for the info!
  18. They should work (unless they can't reach you). Which AI did you try?
  19. What did I do wrong? I told you why I reverted that one particular commit. I explained why I removed these few code comments. I told you why I removed that announcement (And no, the naming wasn't the problem)! And now you say it as if I always revert everything, remove your code comments without any reason and maintain a censorship policy? Just because I happen to be the one that cares most about structure and organization doesn't make me a leader. Anyway, I'll send you a PM later today. BTW: As always, I second Shieldwolf's comment.
  20. This error doesn't look like the crash that occurred with the mod launcher. I think this is something different (and probably with Alpha 16)
  21. Loosing yourselves in 0 A.D.'s graphics...
  22. From Alpha 17 and onward it is possible to create story-line based missions. It can't take very long before some skilled designers come with a campaign (sequence of story-line based missions).
