IMHO - some suggestions (or wishes)
Stan` replied to franzliszzt's topic in Scenario Design/Map making
Hello and welcome to the forums @franzliszzt The lag you were experiencing wasn't likely linked to graphics performance, but instead to the pathfinder system, which are working on making faster Being considered, no one to work on it yet. You mean in the editor ? That's something I'd want as well. You can create your own templates though. It's just a bit of xml editing and making mods. There is an attack move command, https://trac.wildfiregames.com/wiki/HotKeys It's probably doable, but would be problematic in the future, because of the number of civs and objects. That's something you could do in mods. Adding resources has been done in a few of them. That requires quite a bit of artistic work, but that's something that could be done in the end. I'd refer to the art design document for such matters, but basically it was decided like that a long time ago https://trac.wildfiregames.com/wiki/ArtDesignDocument -
I guess so, I we find a texture artist. And good cc0 - cc-by-sa textures

With bear, boar, fox, some other animals a school made for us (IIRC otter, and fish) , gorilla, that'll make a nice start for A24
-
@Alexandermb Great, maybe the artic one is a bit grayish, instead of white. I'll commit that when freeze is over.
-
Even the kushites ?
-
I see maybe make the head bump a little
-
Yeah Haha
-
Well since it's a bear If you have some time look at the fox in the art source, it only needs a few tweaks and could be committed after the re-release

I like most of the anims, but not the walking and running. It seems like he is is too stiff while walking, and the running anim is choppy. But thanks for working on it. Keep it up ! You should post gif of those, or upload them to sketchfab so that people can give some feedback too Also: If you haven't already read this: https://trac.wildfiregames.com/wiki/AnimationExportTutorial this : And especially this part.
-
They are made for walking, and that's just what they'll do
-
Itd be nice to have a visual indicator of damage but I don't think resources are counted as life. So I don't think it's currently possible.
-
Yeah sure I'll update my texture to it

What are the limits that I can go according to the GNU license?

No you can't sell the source code, but you can sell the binaries as long as you provide a link to the source code you used to make them. -

A maybe good tutorial for making trees, https://blog.michelanders.nl/2018/05/realistic-trees-in-middle-distance.html?showComment=1527188656219#c7583121538633755674 -
Ah I thought carthaginians had flag bearers
-
I believe @wowgetoffyourcellphone implemented something similar in Delenda Est
-
Maybe they remastered it or censored it. Wouldn't be the first time. I can't remember I ever saw that scene.
-
Gog tweak their launchers to make them compatible. That's how they manage to make old games like DungeonKeeper work.

Hey @ssorbom Yes there is a patch available it's D1518 It will be committed soon. Then the packagers will be notified, and you'll get an update Sorry for the inconvenience.
-
I see, not sure my sculpting skills are up to the task, but maybe we don't need that much details So I could have wannabees animals
-
Thanks

Those people had style, that's for sure.
