  2. Unlimited Resources and cap count Decimal batch size rounds up production, and give anomalies in refund/production. 1. Unlimited Resources: Game Start [Game Option] > Batch Training Size > 1*(-1.5) try and produce a batch of any unit turns resources counts to NaN manual cancel production [Game Option] > Batch Training Size > 5 player resumes building with unaccounted for resources. Game end NaN (Not a Number?) shows up in Summary. 2. Batch anomalies: set batch size to decimal (i.e. 1.01, 1.25, 1.0001 etc.)

  3. Hi @Isfador1 What you have in mind is not just a map since you also want to change e.g. units bounty and what buildings which units can build. I'd suggest you write a mod (game modification) based on the public mod (the default game content and many game rules) but slightly change the things you have in mind. In general if you like to dive deeper into 0 A.D. see http://trac.wildfiregames.com/wiki For information about mods see http://trac.wildfiregames.com/wiki/Modding_Guide To change what can be build and what can't as well as how much bounty the units grant when killed see http://trac.wildfiregames.com/wiki/Entity Have a pleasent stay EDIT: And for more information about Atlas (0 A.D.'s map editor) see http://trac.wildfiregames.com/wiki/Atlas_Manual_Starting

  5. Poor Mayorcete. He tried to show the Power of Carthage, but ended up simulating the Punic Wars. I'm no expert, but I think his gameplay against the AI is somewhat sloppy. So, it difficult for me to judge the balance based on his video. But he's correct in stating that he needs to focus more on the game than the commentary. I even found it difficult to adjust to a metal-oriented faction like Carthage. It needs a player with good economic-balancing skills to pull of. I think I'll try playing against the AI (Medium) to see for myself.

  8. As Music Lead on 0.A.D., I decided to start a thread here to explain to would-be contributors how my desicion making in that area will work. The few basic requirements of quality-assurance must be: - Ability to create tracks of similar production-value to my score in terms of sampling, sound, mix and mastering. - Ability to record live instruments to match my score and avoid the cliche, 100% sample-based score everyone else has. - A certain understanding of the game and the concepts set for each civilization. - Availability to make any requested changes by me / the team. - Ability to deliver product as a high-resolution .wav file. - An understanding of and willingness to work under Creative Commons, share alike license. I will generally not work with anyone who doesn't match these criteria, although in extreme cases I might consider accepting a MIDI file and doing the production myself, on a free-time basis. I will generally not accept pre-existing tracks, unless by some chance they fit remarkably well, or can be tweaked to fit. I understand that many young composers are attracted to this kind of project, but in the interest of delivering a good, even-quality product, I must be very picky with music contributions. Composers who feel they meet the criteria and wish to contribute are welcome to contact me directly via omri (@) omrilahav.com, or post on this thread. Please include a link to your work and a brief description of your experience. Good luck,

  10. @TenLeftFingers nice suggestion ty! @Itms & @Lion.Kanzen while still looking for the equipment, I have been making questions. Translations from Voices Thread are correct, and they suggest me something about the battle cry which I actually can't remember (something they shout on stadium of Athletic de Bilbao). Moreover, they told me basque is read as written, meaning there are no particular pronunciation rules so far, except for Z pronounced as S (obviously read and talked by a Spanish speaking person, possibly with northern Spain accent). I've done further searches and found this page with pronunciations of many languages including Euskera. For example, this is the page of irabazi (to victory!), but there are much more. This may be helpful in case I didn't get some proper equipment to record voices and/or they don't want to.

  12. Hi @tmm88 For my taste As I Look Towards the Margin, I see a Glimmer... is much to repetitiv (reminds me of techno) and also lacks a harmoneous ending. I like Sorrow though. I'm still a bit irritated by that MIDI sound (feels like console game music ) and is feels slightly like a gothic theme (I'm quite sure I'm not using the correct terms here :/ ). I'm not making any implications about if this track will be used for 0 A.D. and don't intend to do: That's @OmriLahav decision to make and I hope you understand that we are very greatfull for his extraordinary contributions to 0 A.D. and value his decisions and quality of work. However I still want to give you feedback since I like that second song of yours quite a lot and would be exited to her it played with life instruments Thanks for sharing your work with us

  13. If a player is sieged the resources within that players arrea of influence are limited. So that accounts for "starvation". (This also goes for trading for the possible traderoutes are short)

  14. here you have a complete piece of music for the game, done just right now, in about 20-40 minutes. consists of a woodwind quartet with flute, oboe, bassoon, horns, and harpsichord. I initially also have added like a timpani. but right now I only have like a the melodic section, once it didn't fit quite well. the piece is relatively short. (32 bars). but can be looped into sections and triggered during game action. the file was written in musescore, and you can download it in midi, ogg vorbis, pdf, and the music source file. looking forward. kind regards wildfire games.zip you are also free to modify it

  17. Last release we also added portraits in feature freeze time (otherwise we'd have had placeholder/duplicate icons and icons that don't show the thing that is placed wooden/stone tower). That implies proper testing before the commit though (we already had PNG transparency crashing the thing).

  18. A circular shape would be ideal obviously, but I'm not sure if those sqrt() things might be too slow. Perhaps we can also first test for the square selection and then the circular one for the candidates.

  20. So we need to distinguish the numeric options between integer and float, probably some other sanity checks. Empty string also bugging. A brief ticket on http://trac.wildfiregames.com/ would be welcome.

  23. motion sickness? most of the motion sickness happens when the environment moves around you without you controlling the movement. how i see this game in VR is that you move in your own space using room-scale spacial tracking. so it'll be very hard to get motion sickness. and if the map is too big for your room, just teleport around so it doesn't make your brain go "poof". you're absolutely right about this game having the best potential, since this game is opensource. i'm imagining this game in VR. it would be so cool dude!!! HYPE!

  24. @wowgetoffyourcellphone How do you want to be credited? Real name, nickname, both? If real name, it's Justus Avramenko, right? @Enrique, if there is stuff from a new contributor committed you can ask them that and edit binaries/data/mods/public/gui/credits/text/art.json (or another file). That way the committed contribution is associated with the contributor through the commit diff

  26. That would be very nice! However yes, cheap PC mics are not enough and software edition won't help for this quality level. Do you know someone with some audio equipment, even something simple like a portable recorder? In the worst case, just record voices and it will be extremely helpful for other people trying to record hiqh quality ones. We would also be sure that the recorded sentences are proper Basque and we wouldn't worry about checking the quality of the translation itself

  30. A modern scholars interpretation. "Contemporaries saw the great incursion into the west by Cimbri and Teutones at the end of the second century bc as a ‘Celtic’, not a Germanic, phenomenon. Rome’s dealings with ‘the Germani’ start, as with so many things, with Julius Caesar. He is usually credited with the very invention of the term: having come across the word Germani in a way which remains unknown to us, he used it to identify a distinct, non-Celtic, population, made up of various tribes (gentes) living for the most part east of the Rhine."
