  1. Seems that Jos3 stopped working on them. At least, he shared the files to the devs. Right now Enrique had done some work on them, but don't know what is the currenr state. IRC he showed some wip in some news report. Feels like he's working, slowly, but working of them.

  2. I've been gathering swordfighting techniques as well as other weapons used in 0AD's timeframe to have references for animations that the new meshes will have. I try to look for realistic/historical techniques rather than hollywood/coreographed moves. I have quite a big list so far, but I thought posting some of them in case someone is interested in fencing techniques... there are some videos that explain well the uses of shield as well as lost techniques that were probably used, as well as slow, easy moves where its easy to extract nice poses and basic stances. Hello I just started poking around this game (barely played it due to lack of time) but i like the initiative of it's open source model and I think its shaping into a really complex and cool game so I would like to contribute in the little free time I have with at least the translation in my mother tongue Romanian. I opened this thread because all the other ones regarding this matter seem to quickly deviate from the subject for some weird reason. The translation appears to have already started and it's at about 33% (current date: 7-08-2016). Excellent! I plan to finish this only I would like to not do it alone if possible. Now what I would like is to know if there are others who are still working on it? If so I would just like to establish some basic rules for the text layout. 1. Capitalization of words in the middle of the sentence (ex. "Boosts War Elephant attack and speed +20% within his vision.") I know this is for emphasizing the name of the unit in this case but just looks unprofessional. It should simply say "Boosts war elephant attack and speed +20% within his vision." (or another example "Mercenary Patron Aura" should just be "Mercenary patron aura"). I know you see this all the time on the internet and in games, but thats because thats where it flourished (you will almost never see this in a newspaper or a book) if the name of the unit is to be emphasized (which it should, it would be nicer to make them a different colour to do that). This becomes even more important in romanian because it would just be plain wrong to write it like that. (I know this is a game as well but I see a lot of effort put in it so might as well go the extra mile with the text too). 2.Use the formal form of the verbs (Scrieți "Așteptați" nu "Așteaptă") the player is technically a general (SHOW SOME RESPECT SOLDIER!!) 3.Use diacritics! (ă, â, î, ș, ț) not optional! 4.On transifex use the "Add suggestion" button and then add that to the string. This will make subsequent translation of similar strings much faster for you or others. 5.Stay consistent in the translation. If its "Conquest Aura" and "Patriot Aura" don't translate to " 'Aura de cucerire' și pe cealaltă in 'Aura patriotului' (tehnic nici nu ar fi corect pentru ca asta s-ar traduce in engleza ca " Aura of the patriot") dar ințelegeți voi și a doua sa fie tot 'Aura de patriot'". 6.Correct me and others. If there are things that are wrong or you have a better idea place it in the comments and let us all know! "Acest post a fost tradus de zone studio oradea" An ending joke for the romanians out there .

Hey guys, I bring some screenshots of other games to show different approaches of GUIs ·Dawn of War 1 ·Age of Empires III ·Starcraft II ·0 ad That are a little bit old RTS (haven't take a look into new ones like Grey Goo Right know the GUI doesn't fill all the screen. (Just pointing). I would suggest to move all buildings into a submenu like Starcraft or Age of Empires 1/2, and then, move all the actions that under the unit/s icon in the center, to the right panel. I Just feel the GUI a little bit crowded. What do you thing?

  7. We're not yet doing cutscenes with voiceovers, so we don't need a lot of voices. The voices that we do need are sentences pronounced by units in an ancient language. So that will ask some effort from your side to try to pronounce that language. If you like to try that, it would be very welcome though.

  10. There is a button in the upcoming release from the summary screen to the replay (and after the replay ended, it returns to the replay menu). Also was wondering whether some buttons like the replay menu and map editor should rather be moved to the main menu, rather than being hidden under "Tools & Options" (which could just become "Options").

  11. Enabling vsync in the config will cap the fps at your monitor refresh rate, and probably decrease CPU usage.

  12. ok today we have a heavy bounce of new user by streaming by Mayorcete gaming ( @Revan Shan) Youtube channel. In less than 24 hrs they have... many of them I answer in my own language other invite to Join with us to his troubleshooting. I'm Happy guys to see a Youtuber with over 111,000 subscribers in Spanish .and two videos with 2 hours of gameplay. the game is becoming popular. can be nice call for help, because not all users know how can be contributor. some few minutes an guy asking : how contribute with voices...

  14. Why would you want to disable it anyway ? It's used to debug the game, and has the nice option to allow you to re-simulate.

  16. This guy at Youtube gives some tips on animating the shield units. I took a look at some of 0.A.D.'s units and they were mostly fine (esp. the horse units) but it's still nice to have this information in mind when remaking the animations.

Thanks everyone, i'll keep searching for good poses and reading everything you're saying here, opinions are very important for the animation's development. and please be patience, this is not a hard work but it's a little bit slow.
