Dear fellow 0ad players, regarding the things I said, previously regarding arabs and africans, and the statement I made. I sincerely apologize to anyone or offended and I renounce what I already said. I was not thinking quite straight, and was quite frankly, just trying to get some attention. I was having a very bad day and was coming off of some hard things and I know it’s not right to rent in a public place like this. Especially with my opinions can sometimes become hurtful or downright racist. Could be a easily shared opinion if Hitler was just a politician who killed people for exquisitely political reasons: e.g. wars (USA main example), systematic elimination of the internal opposition (Stalin main example) , bad/mean economical reforms (Mao main example) etc. But Hitler led a contemporary european country (not a wild and poor province in Africa) to the systematic and scientific elimination of a part of its own population due to religious reasons (regards that, it's interesting to take a look about the Nazi mysticism that offered the basics for most of the Nazi thoughts about german race supremacy and so on). You are always in control of everything. All original GUI features works along side proGUI. If you already know how to boom, understanding all features takes less than 1 game. I'll gladly take features suggestions if you try it, as now that I own the code, some features are trivial to add/improve.

Today i had very unplesant experience in a game. A player named DoctorOrgans insulted me for the whole game just because I'm simply better player. He sees only 1 viable strategy and it is "follow me", "do what i say".. If you simply ignoring this toxic player he starts calling you "idiot" and other bad words. This is not first time but many many times. How this can be resolved? Am I the only player person who experienced such low IQ behaviour?

agree. please do not jump on the anti hate speech train, for it can head to the wrong direction easily! People are always free to dislike others in non-violent ways. That is my belief. In a community of overviewable size such as 0ad, toxic players will just be disliked by others and at some point, not many will play with them. Regarding the hitler_appreciator account: This is more about the general topic of creating smurfs, and how to address it. Imo makes sense to use some kind of trust system for accounts. Gain trust points for using the account on lobby and give hosts the option to threshold required trust to a minimum value, hence filtering new accounts and smurfs. Could be realized via bot, like the ratings (trust only affect lobby matches). This way, the WFG team does not have to become the guardians of hatespeech, because the hosts can themselves filter new smurf accounts (aswell as new players, that has to be considered) and kick known toxic players.

Yes! For me BoonGUI had good structure and a powerful class "BoonGUIStats" for me to get the datas I wanted and do my dream features! It have it's own mess but you can navigate through it. Not sure reworking another mod would be advised by others but for what I wanted to do, it was perfect. I'll be so glad to help you! But not sure I'm the right person, as I mostly don't understand what I'm doing.

You should ditch the warn("player"); and add the if-statement at "AddResourceGatherer". But the rest should still be called. Snap is annoying. But using a mod should work. I get an OOS at turn 20, so can't use that replay? Do you get the crash when watching that replay?

Do you have a replay that reproduces the error? The "undefined:NaN" is the problem here, I can try to help you debug it. Did you add a resource to the game? Can you check with an if-statement (if (type === undefined)) at https://code.wildfiregames.com/source/0ad/browse/ps/trunk/binaries/data/mods/public/simulation/components/Player.js$263 the stacktrace what called that function? (warn(new Error().stack))

Seems like an undefined parameter or some parameter that the game cannot recognise. Maybe check your starting condition files and the civ files, especially the section which talks about Starting units.

JC should check balance and remove cosmic teammates before the game starts, instead of complaining at the end. Regarding appreciation for Nazi and Hitler, he should keep his thoughts to himself and not express them in 0ad lobby. There are many Germans here who will be emotionally upset by this topic. I myself consider Hitler as purely a historical character, similar to Scipio Africanus or Vercingetorix. I'm not offended if he expresses his appreciation for nazi or Hitler. But one must consider how the German players would feel.

Also, how about a team-game rating that is based on user evaluation instead of wins? By allowing each player to vote (at the end of the game) on who was the best player in terms of team game and not statistics. With some kind of normalization ofc (e.g. negative votes too)

Since elephants are mostly unbalanced units, I suggest that upon reaching their 15-20% life bar, change their affiliation to Gaia, forcing them to attack everyone in a row.

I'm not a fan of automation that is not included in the standard version or the community mod. Defending automation mods by saying that "it is ok because it is publicly available" doesn't take into account just how few people actually even visit the forums, let alone download anything they read about here. Simply because a mod is posted on the forums doesn't mean that the general playing public have any idea it exists at all. If there were a way to poll users the lobby, I would be surprised if more than say 20% have any idea that there are users employing scripts and heavily modified versions of the game. Moving to GUI enhancements, these begin to stretch my concept of fairness when they strip the whole game down to allow easier sight through trees, increasing the visual size of certain things (wasn't there a mod that did this with berries?), and otherwise making wholesale changes to the way the game is displayed to the user. With regards to this particular mod, the only thing I see as crossing the line is the advanced auto-queue by percentages. If this is a feature people want in the main game, fine, but otherwise it appears to offer a unique advantage over others who don't have this mod.

It is interesting how many hypocrites are here to arguing how bad is making available for public some game mod providing some fancy stuff. It means nobody will make such flame-war for these not disclosing anything. Same story came to me when I revealed smurfs and so much hate... Smurfing is also another kind of cheating. @Atrikgo on, develop your mod and fsck everyone, do not disclose anything and let them live in dark. Play, enjoy and have big smile and relax. There will be always hater, trolls and stupid public.
