  1. I am taking suggestions, like I removed projectile velocity from the upgrades since this is not visible to players and should be a constant. I am considering allowing them to affect mercenaries as well.

  3. I like the idea of these upgrades, haven't decided how many of them i like individually. Maybe try a commit with one upgrade for each unit instead of two, just pick the better one of each pair? Maybe a poll asking how people like each upgrade individually would be nice.

  5. I think pikemen should be unique by being really strong at melee but weak against range. Attack similar to spearmen, but 8 hack armor and 4 pierce armor. Also if crush gets reworked they should have higher crush armor than most units, so they'd be good against elephants and axe or mace units.

  10. I am trying to watch a recorded game from the latest tournaments. I downloaded the zip file but couldn't locate the folder in which I need to put the file in order to have it visible through the game so I could watch it. Can you help me please?

  12. So i summarize: Shyft claims it is justified to excessively bully and insult other players, because they had a performance worse then him in an online GAME. He assumes, people who want to keep him out of the game do it because they feel hurt in their pride bc they cant live with others pointing out that they have made mistakes in an online GAME. Shift does not see that insults are actually hurtfull to most people and are therefore generally problematic and to be avoided. There has been no such insight as " I can just replace my insults with constructive criticism." I dont want to come up with a psychological diagnosis on that which i am not qualified to give, but i think there is just little hope with such an attitude that anything will change.

  13. JC, I am aware that a ddoser might do that in order to frame someone. It's why we can't conclude who is a ddoser merely based on potential motive. In fact, it's why in criminal trials, circumstantial evidence is usually not considered. When you see a DDoS, please report as much about it as you can, as explained in the DDoS: See something, say something thread. Mutes in the lobby are not random at all. They are based on violations of the Terms of Use, and always have evidence supporting them. Mute durations increase gradually as violations increase within a 2 week period. Moderators watch chat every few hours, so mutes are often delayed by that much time from the time that the violation(s) occurred. More details are in the FAQ answer about lobby moderation. And, please don't call people "subhuman", even ddosers. Two wrongs don't make a right. Just please help us collect evidence on them and help us improve the software so that it's more costly (in effort, not necessarily money) for ddosers to ddos 0ad players.

  14. i completely agree, recently bought AOE4 for $45 or so and instantly regretted. It's just too realistics doesn't feel more like an rpg. I bet 0ad is way better as compared to AOE4 from my POV. Faster and competitive games, requires smart approaches and fast thinking to overcome opponents, that's what RPG is all about. In AOE you cant use a scout to gather food, women can take forever to gather etc. The only best thing about AOE4 is their graphics. If we are to compare 0ad with AOE4 headon, i definitely would say 0ad stands out. About time people should get to know 0AD #0adtotheworld

  15. is 0ad not 3D? Honestly, I think 0ad has a massive edge graphically even over AOE4 with its massive budget. AOE 4 looks goofy and cartoonish, and apparently it only runs fast on the lowest settings so it looks even worse in that configuration. I think one way to make 0ad more "modernized" would be to improve accessibility. It seems to me that players these days often just want to jump right into a playlist with matchmaking as soon as they are set up with an account and knowledge from the tutorial/tech tree. In other words, it might be a bit of a turn-off to join the lobby and have to pick a 1v1 or host their own game. Within the lobby, I can envision a "Ranked" quickplay button which will queue you up for a 1v1 with an opponent determined by matchmaking. I'd say this would improve accessibility and the competitive interest of the game. These ranked games would have a standardized set of random maps (maybe feldmap incorporated into main game), a particular map size, population cap, and starting res.

  16. Groundhog Day. Another successfully failed game. At the moment this screenshot was taken already more then 14 million packets from over 1500 different IP's have been delivered, which lead to i disconnection of the connected players.
