Perhaps a new kind of aura or range type: "edge distance." "Radius" to me implies a center point. I noticed the incongruity playing DE and I saw the "Underbrush" aura affecting units outside the radii of the Forest Groves. The aura is intended to only affect units passing within the Grove. With the current aura range issue, it would seem I have to set the radius of the aura range to 0 so that it matches the edge of the footprint? Again, the definition of radius causes confusion of its actual effect.1 point

Hello everyone, I have just committed SM60. I'll be around for any bug report should I have missed something. The most interesting thing about this upgrade was that we now compile the game using the C++14 standard. Now, I will work towards using Visual Studio 2017 (I'll make another forum post about that), and once that's done, we can start looking at SM68.1 point

Following @Itms lack of time recently, I have taken up the mantle of the spidermonkey migration. For SM52, most of what he had done is directly usable and I plan to commit the upgrade in the upcoming days. I will be uploading patches to Phabricator, but for those using git, you can access the whole thing here: https://github.com/wraitii/0ad/tree/sm52-clean My plan is to try and move rather quickly up the ladder, since we need SM78 for Python3 support (which we need to not be dropped by linux distros), and that will take 3 more rounds of upgrading.1 point

Nope, I haven't directly contacted them. Something tells me a few may have seen the thread though. I've had contact with some youtube historians though They love my stuff I even saw one guy claiming to have a PHD using images from this thread. I'm still hard at work collecting sources, reevaluating details, factoring in new information. I'm still planning to write a more extensive piece, but I'd like it to conform to academic standards, which means there's still a lot of work for me to do. When I've finished my own compendium on Kushite history, I want to contact every specialist I can think of to see if any of them are willing to proof-read and provide feedback and corrections. Then I'll release it to the world. I'd basically want to write an illustrated narrative history book on Kush one day. In the meantime I'll just keep updating my state of knowledge here. Funny tangent:1 point

@Sundiata Have you tried to contact these people to showcase this thread? Perhaps it would be good for us to be actually visible to the academic world?1 point
