  2. Starting a new "Bactria" style map called "River Oxus", the major river that run through the Bactrian valley. Bottom half of map is green and trees. The top half across the river is mountainous and have many passes and treasures. Based on images like this: I think the game should have new water type called "Rapids." @wraitii

  6. I don't really think this is survival of the fittest, though. That's a fundamentally PVE game, I'm definitely thinking of some added element to PvP or PvAI.

  7. All victory conditions should become boolean options, so that we can play with an arbitrary set of victory conditions. For the same reason the "last man standing" mode wasn't made some victory condition but consciously setup as a boolean. The "survival of the fittest " "mode" would just be another checkbox. It also wouldn't become a victory condition because it doesn't have to decide when someone has won. Same goes for the "nomad" "mode" btw, every map should support that, independent of all other "modes", I hope we can do all of that next for alpha 22 :-)

  8. What is that supposed to mean? PPL with a slow or unstable internet connection are AFAIK meant to play 0 A.D. (hence the rejoin option - if I'm not misstaken). People who leave the game and don't rejoin within a given ammount of time should simply be handled as losing the game - since they are not playing it. I'm quite sure "noob" is a plain insult and should be avoided - even if noone specific is pointed at! Same goes for "trolls" IMO - ask a moderator and they can handle the case if seen fit. And in general: Identifying players that don't fit well in a particular game is not as easy as looking at some stats IMO... and definitely a matter of taste.

  9. A "skirmish" object in Atlas that spawn barbarians would be a cool one. Maybe call this mode "Barbarian Invasions"? First must decide this a mode or a game feature? If just a game feature with no other special condition, could just be a toggle thing like treasures in game setup instead of an actual "mode". The game does not have very defined "modes" right now anyway. (game does not have a death match mode yet, and regicide reminds me more of a mode than a victory condition; could have Lightning mode too; if do modes like this, then Barbarian Invasions/Survival of the Fittest would be more like modes that have definded conditions and stuff, but this all take more thinking).

  11. It is, vegeratian ratio is there since the initial summary screen implementation (see [1]), which was first released in Alpha 3, and the resource subtypes themselves were implemented at least since December 2005: [2], so they are present in every release starting from Pre-Alpha 1.

  13. One or more Germanic civilizations are likely to be included in part two, as their role was greater in the 1 A.D. - 500 A.D. time period than the 500 B.C. - 1 B.C. time period.
