  3. Has anyone thought about implementing some type of mechanic where AI does not initially know where where you are located on the map. I feel like it would make gameplay more interesting if the AI would have to send out expeditionary forces first to try and find your location before sending all out attacks. It gets repetitive getting attacked at roughly the same time each round.

It would be nice if someone (@Alexandermb?) could create the following actor animations: fishing boat ranged attack animation (hurl harpoon) fishing boat meat gather animation (chop at carcass), to be used for whales, crocodiles, etc. infantry and female citizen fish gather animation (spear-fishing), so they can catch fish in shallow waters near the shores I believe I've requested it before, but couldn't find it, hence me starting a new thread now.

  9. Hello everyone, This to inform modders of a breaking change in templates following https://code.wildfiregames.com/rP22754. Capture previously looked: <Capture> <Value>5</Value> ...[Other Stuff]... </Capture> You need to change "Value" into "Capture". The reason for this is that you may now use the "Damage", "Capture", and "GiveStatus" nodes in any place where you could previously use Damage. For example, you can now have capturing splash damage, or both a Capture and a Damage node in the same attack. "Capture" is no longer hardcoded to be the only attack type that can capture. This change also affects many simulation components, so feel free to ask questions about those if needed. Let me know if anything looks odd, as again, this changed many component files and there's a chance I've missed an edge case. Please note that tooltip support is not yet committed, this will be a WIP in the upcoming days.

  11. For me, indeed the butt-spike looks more like a sarissa-type than a dory-type. However, I found suspicious that nobody clearly expressed their use of the phalanx. Maybe it is only a long spear like in the case of the Cherusci. Since the Kushite faction has already a very diverse roster, maybe the pikemen can be moved to a champion unit or to a reform to research by the player as suggested by Sundiata.

  12. 1 can be done similar to javelin. 2. It would work if we have something to make the fishing ship attach to the croc or whale. Otherwise we will just have a choping water animation so at least for now not possible. 3. This could be done too.

  19. You can use them, by appending. (i use intel HD Graphics be sure to update your drivers) but with the DxDiag i can see the graphic chipset of your processor is too low for 2.80

  20. Yeah i saw that after the bake but it takes 30 mins per baje (Normal/diffuse) so i leaved it as it is . 3 Test following references for scale chamfron/armor: First normal bake was wrong (forgot to change Y to -Y). Persian winged: Sele Chamfron: And persian Bactrian cavalry:

  22. Speaking from the lack of knowledge from the latest animation additions, wouldn't be higher priority to make more death variations for infantry units? Afaik, I just made one on the original animation set and I don't really know if any other death variations were added later on. On the same train of thought, it could be interesting to apply the same changes done lately to the armature in the blendfile with the ragdoll setup to make such animations based on physics (bake the animation and keyframe required bones by inserting "visual loc-rot" keyframe. (I would make a test first keyframing all bones and if the animation look weird, leave out the root bone from the keyframing bone set)

  25. Hi I just started playing so still learning but finding playing against AI to be difficult and getting lots of enemy attacks before I can build combat inits. So thinking it might be interesting to develop a form of AI that acts more like a real player. This would entail to develop AI algorithms that debot AI in that the AI would have to send scouts to find resources and delays witch emulate how a real player plays as in debtoting quick decisions and actions by the AI. Also increasing the time it takes AI to build building and units. So a AI bot can do a lot things very quickly which is a way a player does not. The end result would be a choosable option that would make the AI play more like a real player. What do you guys think of this?
