  2. Hi @Jayanne.Sung, This is a symptom of https://gitea.wildfiregames.com/0ad/0ad/issues/8611 TLDR : Most likely you have the bug where the cursor is not pointing where it should be. Try to restart the game until the black margin doesn't appear. Maybe someone else know a way to open the game that will increase the chances to not have this bug (without disabling full screen that is) ? For me the bug happens 1 time out of 20 or so, therefore I usually just restart the game.
  3. I should add that tabbing doesn't cycle though the button on the screen so I can't clear the welcome screen notification and click the ok button so I am stuck. App is full screen however there is a large 4cm black border along the top margin. I can see the left menu and there is a box "Help 0 a.d." in the bottom right corner which is not cut off but I can't click on the "Enable feedback or Terms" button either. I can scroll the mouse fully around to all parts of the screen but none of the buttons are clickable.

  5. First time trying to play the game. Appimage downloaded and run. The game starts and the welcome screen is displayed: "Thank you for installing 0 A.D." The mouse is responsive however none of the buttons are clickable. I can't click on OK to clear the welcome screen and access the menu so I am stuck. All I can do it terminate the process. System: Kubuntu 25.10 Build: February 6, 2026 (release 0.28, ac2cae)
  6. That's not even playing, that's try-harding. And you can't try-hard this game and marvel at its beauty at the same time. One of the reasons why all first "try-hard" esport RTS games didn't have awesomene graphics. At some point, developers said: enough fluff, let's focus on gameplay.

  9. Uh... the guy JUST started playing, him taking that time in a huge map is not weird at all. You can do that? Congratulations. Do you want cookies? Besides, if he doesn't want to play like a clicky robot, but build a nice city with over 1000 units while waging war, he's free to do so (PC allowing). And then some ask "Why is the 0 A.D community so small?"
  10. Also, if you have a low end PC, you should reduce the quality of textures, models and shadows. If you set the shaders too high (7-10), try reducing that to around 2.
  11. Historically accurate faces: If you knew a little bit about extant Greek marble busts, you could definitely recognize these 3 figures.
  12. I think the settings you used could be the issue, - Huge maps is quite demanding on the CPU and RAM. On Windows you only have 4GB allocated to the game (for 32bit builds). Usually we play on medium size and that is already enough to accommodate 8 players! - The game shouldn't last 2 hours, most games finish in 30 minutes or less. This goal of the game is to destroy your enemy, not to build SimCity - You should set the pop limit to 200 or 300
  13. I like the walking, the feather-picking and tail-wiggling. The idle animation could be a little slower and with longer "staring-breaks". When bending down for pecking grains, only the neck and head should move, while the rest of the body stays more or less in position, not shifting its whole body. Hope it's not a problem with uv stretching then. The colour variations make it really cool. I think you could increase overall scale a little. Are you planning to add a rooster too? The chicken-carrying is a nice idea

In the future, if you'd like to share your error logs with us, you can follow the instructions here. Maybe it's a problem with Athenian Civilization, but in my games with current game version I can garrison Archers on top of Walls. Would you like to explain the situation a bit more, please?
  16. El problema de la ia es que es muy generica. Y seria de probar promps hasta que salga algo coerente. Lo mismo pasa con el codigo, te da codigo que tampoco funciona a la primera(experencia mia) y tienes que estar dandole instruciones para que haga algo parecido a lo que uno quiere
  17. Don't worry, it's not for the game, it's a mod. (I believe that currently nothing in 0ad originates from AI). We don't have many 2D artists in the community, and dealing with 3D art, code, and everything else is enough for me. I'm not just a fan of AI or large corporations, but it's a tool that's available.

  20. @Lopess Don't use ChatGPT for generating images. Try to find some better AI image generator. That said, I wouldn't want this game to use AI for generating its art.

  22. I've tried a few times to create good textures with the AI (chatgpt), but it has a lot of difficulty understanding texture images like the one for the woman's dress. Does anyone have any tips?

  25. Due to unproportional and unrealistic "meat steak" size i propose change chickens to be single citizen gathering slot and only once carrying chickens straight to cc as a dead hanging chicken. Carry_chicken:
