@Classic-Burger Yes. Petra was introduced in Alpha 16 and it's not compatible. And I'm not "going to use" it, I'm already using it.

Everything makes me laugh inside. It's not that difficult to stop being yourself, you just have to know how you are seen from the outside. -
This one is not new, but I saw it somewhere and thought @Seleucids might like that. Would you agree that it's not that easy to predict what anyone would consider funny? Do you ever actually laugh when watching funny images? Best I can really do nowadays is smile, but that doesn't mean I wouldn't appreciate good attempts at humor. Perhaps it's hard to come across something conceptually new and original as you get older. I thought I'd add a little more context for the non-technical people to better understand the joke, but it's a really big spoiler:

I have forgotten to change the class filters for the AI. It filters champions based on the old class token "Super", while all champions have class token "Champion". Why is this important? Well, the AI will make a weak army based only on the number and strength of CS units you have, while you might be having a bunch of champions. Not a very fun or challenging experience. To fix, change all mentions of "Super" to "Champion" in these files below. simulation/ai/qbot/economy.js simulation/ai/qbot/filters.js simulation/ai/qbot/military.js If you're making a Hero often, also add the "Hero" class token to the filter in "military.js" file. This bug was fixed in Alpha 10.

According to my research, I should use heal.js as inspiration. Then: In Age of Empires, conversion is probabilistic: a priest channels (with a minimum/maximum time), and there is a chance per interval that the unit will convert. Units resist based on type/technologies. In 0 A.D., we will use the "Heal" component as a base (priests heal allied units). We will adapt it to "Convert" for enemies: the priest approaches, channels, and upon success, changes the ownership of the enemy unit. -

It should potentially apply by splash, though I am unsure on the exact splash radius, its not something included in the unit details. That being said it does feel a bit to generic for a faction specific tech. Currently those who have bolters are Carthage, Athens, Sparta, Ptolomies, Macedonia and of course Rome. Macedonia is already strong so definitely not them. Ptolomies have machine gun level bolters(Cleopatra boosts fire rate even more) so not them either. Athens I am unsure where they are at, but they have a bunch of ranged options already. Carthage is very much in the same vein too, albeit weaker. That leaves just Rome and Sparta, two strong infantry civs with very lacklustre ranged capabilities outside of siege units which Rome has a significant advantage on. Sparta would certainly benefit the most from it given they have no catapults, flaming bolts on their bolters would certainly be an interesting alternative for building breaking. Rome already has the onagar, but the scorpio is also very iconic to them and they do go hand in hand I would say. They now have a strong theme of manoeuvrability which is cool, so that could be utilised instead. Given their known siege prowess one can definitely still make a case for flaming bolts or something though. -

Also Ptolomies should not have access to this tech on the grounds that their bolt shooter is not designed for incendiary projectiles and for potential balance purposes given their rapid fire bonus -
