Pablinski2
Hi! My name is Pablo and I am currently studying 3D design and animation. I'm pretty new to forums so I may not be very agile in here, but basically I'm willing to help modelling and texturizing if needed, maybe even animating. Right now I use Blender for modelling, sculpting, rigging, bones (and in a near future animation) and Substance Painter for texturizing. I would like to know what your workflow is like and I could model and texturize if I'm given references or concepts arts. Greetings from Spain!

Stan`
Hello @Pablinski2 Welcome to the forums! It's nice to see new artist coming. There is plenty of work to do, mainly for the mods. What era are you most interested in? (This way I can direct you to interesting mods you might want to contribute too) In any case you need to sign this And make sure you do not use copyrighted materials As for the workflow it's a bit detailed here: https://trac.wildfiregames.com/wiki/ArtDesignDocument#FileNamingConventions You can see a simple guide for how to get your meshes in the game : https://trac.wildfiregames.com/wiki/Basic3DImplementation And for animations here: https://trac.wildfiregames.com/wiki/AnimationExportTutorial You can also have a look at: https://trac.wildfiregames.com/wiki/Modding_Guide If you have any questions, you can ask them here, on IRC, channel #0ad-dev, or to me directly. Don't hesitate to ask even what you think are stupid questions
Loki1950
As @Stan` said for a new comer there are no stupid questions as you still do not have the full context yet that where experience comes from. Enjoy the Choice
Pablinski2
I've already read the Workflow Pipeline Guide and it's complex, but summing up I think I could be useful only in modelling and maybe texturizing right now, I don't know much about history so any era would be fine for me. Also I can't program. I will try my best if you give me further instructions! I really don't know where to start xD I don't know how to sign the legal waiver D: Thanks for the welcoming also, I'm willing to participate! bb_
Welcome!! The legal waiver is the easy question: copy paste that message you see numerous times in the thread and post it yourself. If you have programming questions feel free to ask, maybe some programmer can help in that aspect if there are changes required. Just know: I can't do art... johnmi_ckel
There are 20 people to every one job in the creative 3D modeling world. I've been working in industry for about 17 years, and I've never had that great gaming job making levels or characters, or concepts. I have had many boring jobs working on content that I could care less about. The important thing is that I go to work, and I get to work with some really cool software, making media, and getting paid for it. What else would I be doing with my day for a living? Working at Home Depot? You have to put it in perspective. In my free time I work at my craft, but it is more for enjoyment than any expectation of working at a game company.
