LordGood
"LordGood what are you doing, heyenough with Carthage, we have the Ptolemies to model!"I knowww guys, but I really wanted to make a Punic castle! On a side note, I feel like we should make the entire Spartan building set follow a more archaic classical architectural design, and let the Athenians (or Macedonians) keep the current set
Prodigal Son
Looks great! I like the old one as well though, wouldn't be able to choose one easily.
Thorfinn the Shallow Minded
If anything should be changed with the Spartans, I recommend the houses. They should look far more simple than they currently are.
LordGood
How about a white brick one? I thinned out the crenelated walls and added window borders, like the old one had.and look! this one doesn't float!
Mythos_Ruler
Looks better than the original. Though, all the banners draped on the roof are a bit overkill.
LordGood
Should I bring it back to the rough cut sandstone blocks or keep it in white marble paneling?
sanderd17
I like the new one better, but aren't the doors a bit big? When compared to other fortresses, the cart doors are already big, and these seem to be bigger. And I agree with those banners on the roof. I think a weapon rack (available in the eyecandy models) could be used instead of one of the banners. Great work though.
LordGood
mmm, I like big doors, the Carthaginian and Ptolemaic fortresses are supposed to train and outfit war elephants after all
sanderd17
The Ptolemaic door is rather small though I'm not sure about the door size. I'd need to see it in a different perspective, next to some other fortress probably.

Lion.Kanzen
How about a white brick one? I thinned out the crenelated walls and added window borders, like the old one had.and look! this one doesn't float!are very strong, visially of course,ok nowtalking about Carthaginian buildings the farmstead is some similar to house, what you think about that?(is request i want see new model of that building)
oshron
Poor elephantshe's going to be even more stuck with his tower oni think that could be considered an acceptable break from reality
LordGood
Door's a little shorter now, propped the roof. Pulled back the draperyI agree with you Lion, the Farmstead does look way too similar to the house variations. maybe there should be more than three house variations to begin with but... ptolemies...need to grind out those ptolemaic buildings!
Lion.Kanzen
What happens with walls? .And is some idea how can be The mlitary settlement?
idanwin
Love the new fortress Lordgood! Are the doors always a little opened? That would look weird when it's attacked imo
WhiteTreePaladin
Yeah, doors should be closed. It would be neat if they opened when a unit was trained like in BFME2.
oshron
again, that's what's called an acceptable break from reality
WhiteTreePaladin
Yes, but if we are not going to animate them, then it makes more sense to have them closed.

LordGood
I made a big templeno bronze statue thoughI figure we ought to give the Carthaginians a wonder that's less easily concealed, once wonders become victory conditionsgranted the mausoleum of Atban looks amazing, and I may have stolen a couple horses from it; it's just too small.I wasn't liking how it was turning out, and I'm still on the fence a bit. I shouldn't have tried to make it a peripteral temple :/didnt have a lot to go on thoughcut me some slack guys ;-;

The build time and cost can be altered and the time till victory can be altered. Though I admit, balancing will be easier when they all have the same footprint.
