If this is for the main game i strongly advise against doing that. It overcomplicates the mechanics for nothing and nullify the possibility of upgrading units when already fighting.

LeJardindEpicure replied to redshawks523's topic in Introductions & Off-Topic Discussion
Hi @redshawks523. As far as i know they were like 33% done on update 0.29 but, do not worry ! Thanks to its Open Source nature, you can start contributing to the game so the release comes faster ! Dont forget nobody get paid, the game evolves as fast as the contributors can work., the more the faster. -
I made a 0AD mod that adds a Māori Civ
LeJardindEpicure replied to brough50's topic in Game Modification
Also Heros are completely broken : +200% speed movement ??? +300% attack ??? Is having all units trainable in the civic center a deliiberate choice ? I would make the Ranagatiras and many even the Mou Rakaus only trainable in the barracks. -

Units are very cool and i like the animations. One change i would do is lighten the units icon in the barracks/cc. We are under the impression that we lack the ressource to train units / we have trained too much when its just that the icon is very dark. Try getting the same background color as other civs. -
Topic for cry and complain about balance
LeJardindEpicure replied to Dakara's topic in Gameplay Discussion
I was asking myself, since Naked Fanas are naked would it be possible to make it so the armor upgrades dont affect them (if not already the case) so they would be very good early game but die like paper as the game progresses -

Yes but this flagging should be limited to users with a certain age. Otherwise it could be exploited to hide the entire forum xD -
AI bot spam on the forum

I have a question, is it possible, when creating an account to check if the lobby name registered by the user corresponds to an actual lobby name (if not already done) and to prevent the user from creating one if it does not exists. Alternatively, maybe ask to enter a lobby password which could be broadcasted in the lobby with a command. Although that might be too much trouble for actual users.. ? -
Amazing ! Is it playable and can you assign hotkeys using the controller buttons ?

Hello, I was wondering who is managing r/0ad ? Would it be possible to pin a post about the game coming out of Alpha and about 0.28 Boirix update. The forum is active at times. -
King of the Hill map

Nice water fall and bridge ! did you use a custom texture ? -
Hello everyone i'm trying to make a new multiplayer map based on this concept (see picture below) The idea of the map is the player (team 1 and team 2) spawns east and west of the map in an arc of circle with the usual (food, a bit of wood, bit of iron and stone but not much). In the middle of the map there is a huge mountain with a plateau at the top (enough to place civ center + fortress) with treasures and huge amount of iron/stone. To climb into the mountain (still think of it) you have two spiralings paths that climbs along the cliffs. North and right of the map are creeks with huge amount of fishs and wood, you can access them by the coast or narrow pass between moutain. You can also rejoin the spiralling paths from north and right. LOW EFFORT DRAWING On the "artistic side", i was thinking of an mediterraneean landscape (like in the game Arma III as seen below) with lots of rocks, maritime pine on the coast, oaks closer to the moutain and normal pine as we climb the mountain + lots of rock. I've already made map edition before (in the game Arma III never in 0AD) so i know its challenging (plus i can spend 1 hour adjusting a bush position). First, do you think it is feasible and do you think it could be interesting gameplaywise ? Second, is there a mapmaking discord i can join / people willing to collaborate i can speak to ? Thank you very much, Le Jardin d'Épicure.

Good morning, I tried hosting a game on Migration with relics, however relics keep spawning on the player's island, thus giving a certain advantage for certain players and negating the incentives to go and fight on the main island. Is there a way to restrict the spawn area of relics so they all spawn on the main island ? ps : i might be on the wrong forum section, should i repost in map making subforums ?

Goood afternoon, i just saw your message. I checked the replay on my side and you are right. I apologize for the inconvenience. You ended the game too fast for me to see that you resigned and, furthermore, i did not see any rating adjustement annoucement in the lobby chat and you were'nt in the lobby . That was the reason that led me to believe you ragequited. I will remove my message

Offender lobby's name : roothopper My lobby name : LeJardindEpicure roothopper stopped the game without resigning as i turned the tide and wrecked havoc upon its troops. (funny to see you on the other side@b1g1d3a) After double checking, there was in fact, no offense. commands.txt metadata.json

Speed of rising water in the Flood map
LeJardindEpicure posted a topic in Scenario Design/Map making
Good afternoon, I recently played the map Flood which has a really interesting mechanic where the water slowly rises as the game progresses. However there are only 3 possible level of water (high, low, rising) and the water rises very slowly. Would it be technically possible to add an option to select the rising speed (such as a slider) to make the map more challenging ? Thank you, LeJardindEpicure
