If 0 A.D. has excess funds, why not? It would be good to have illustrations for the encyclopedia, (maybe even get the Open source person who does Pepper and Carrot?) Contracting some programmers also wouldn't hurt, anything. Slightly off-topic, but how much funds does 0 A.D. have exactly?

I appreciate that. I'm not a fan of AI anything. (That is AI large models, not conventional AI) Still, the art does look pretty good.

You could. Of course, if the new encyclopedia is written, it can always be a separate text.

I want to just point out that unlike how ChatGPT says, Brasidas died around the 400 B.C. He did not live anywhere close to the year 0 A.D. Also, I think the LLM is hallucinating costs for units. It also spends 150 wood when you only say 100. You'd have to get a pretty good LLM to have it not do that with 0 A.D. However, I do like the idea of having customizable AI, probably not for the skirmish because having Athens's always do the same strategy could make the game repetitive, however having AI in campaign act like the actual generals during history would be cool if it would play well also.

My vote is in game. If eventually we want to do a manual like the old age of empire ages, I'm willing to help edit it. Maybe we could include it in a 0 A.D. beta special edition with tech maps and some other fun swag?

Yes this is exactly what's needed! Images, text as well as cross links, that would allow us to simplify things so much. Instead of making each article stand alone by explaining the same things we have explained before. Thank you, @wowgetoffyourcellphone I can't wait until this is finished.

The trac is back. Does anyone know what was wrong with it?

I'm trying to work on the article on Han women, and I think a quote from the "Lessons for women" by Ban Zhao would be appropriate. However, there are two problems. First that the books I have and on the internet only have excepts of the book and second you can't quote much of a copyrighted book. The work itself is (clearly) in public domain, and there is a copy of the text is on Wikisource (https://zh.wikisource.org/wiki/女誡 ) The issue is its in Chinese. I've tried using Google Translate and while I can somewhat get an idea on what the work is about, I don't trust a Google Translate to be accurate enough to quote. I suppose what I'm asking is: Does anybody know someone who can translate ancient Chinese?

I don't know server maintenance but getting emails back up and shutting the trac in the same action seems a bit off. However, there was supposed to be server migrating, so maybe something "small" slipped through the cracks.

Now unfortunately, it seems that the https://trac.wildfiregames.com/ is out. This could be intentional (Moving to Git?) but I just thought I would let people know.

I have this problem as well. Which is unfortunate, because I use to only check my email to get notifications for the forums. Could the breakage have something to do with the moving to gitea?
