  1. The changes I am unsure about are about the pikeman and the horse archer. Should the first be available n the barracks instead of the military colony(still in phase II)? And should the latter be available at the barracks in phase I? Thing is that their cav (specially archer cav and the champion variant) has cost effectiveness on their side so making the best meatshield more readily available may be too much.

To accompany the first draft of the bactrians civ, I give you a playable version of this modest mod: ------> Bactrians-mod.rar<------ In the future I would like to add unique buildings of course. Besides the artwork, which must definitively be improved, I'm looking for feedback on the units mostly.
  3. Actually coming up with more infantry types ain't difficult, for example: A "something" hillman, basically a levy with poor morale and bad equipment, a "trash" unit only "good" for the early game: 3.5 hack 3 pierce 1.5 vs cav 90 health 40 food/wood cost 900 repeat time

  5. Yup already solved it now my problem is that the structure tree still doesn't work and in game I can't build anything.
  6. So the mod file goes into the mods directory, done. From what I think all the thing are in the correct place but when i go in game and try to do anything I get error messages and blank gray menus. I wanted to ask if any of the prominent modders had these problems before and if so how did you get pass them.   7. The settler pikemen: The bactrian hillmen: # As they are meant to be the lowest of levies their equipment isn't standardized therefore the mix of weapons, only in their elite state do they get some measure of uniformity . The Parni Raider :
  8. The two actors of the day, the indo-greek mercenary swordsman and the bactrian cataphract that has a small issue: From left to right: 1 basic, 2 advanced and 2 elite. The "small issue", the mask clips through almost every helmet and the new mask model is the one that clips "less". I wish there was a way to make the mask go just a bit lower.
  9. Even more models! This time tried my hand at the indo-greek thureophoros and the bactrian light lancer, for the latter I tried to maintain their persian/afgan appearance. #replacing their baggy pants mesh with a more sleek and longer tunic enabled me to add greaves to their models, which does wonders for the whole east/west mixed appearance.

  11. I also forgot to mention that besides the roster being wrong, the unit's still use the vanilla athenian icons.
  12. 1. This emblem is a no no since it comes straight from Rome II Total war. 2. The flavor text is basically Athens' with a slight alteration. 3. , 4. , 5. Bonkers roster, again it's Athens' roster with Lopess's spearman model and with Carthage's italian cavalry put in there as a citizen soldier. ( champion unit tech does nothing too). 6. Athens' champion and the already mentioned spearman. 7. , 11. Basically these heroes are just Athens' Heroes with different names ( Gelon , Dionysius and Agathokles). 8. This structure cannot be built by anyone. 9. Shouldn't even be here as it is not mentioned in the design doc. 10. Again an Athenian unit here. 12. Athens' roster again with the inventor which I don't know where he came from. Anyway he doesn't do anything , can't even garrison him. 13. Two unique buildings missing. In game, the citizen soldiers can't place foundations, only build. Also I got those error messages..
  13. Now i was grasping at straws when coming up with hero auras ,any sugestions?
  14. Didn't even notice, good thing i'm not a historian! I felt something wasn't adding up but couldn'd point my finger to it. Also seleucid structures with the persian textures would a good aproximation.
  15. Castle Caladan was dope as were the sardaukar uniforms and the golden room .
  16. Well i just did and there a lot of problems. Although I suspect this was my fault. Should have made an entirely new repository.
  17. I though about this and found the following image: The website only describes this a Persian temple with a statue of Zeus inside it, and places it in the palace complex or near it. But I cant vouch for its veracity.

  19. I liked David Lynch's Dune and I wish the bonkers architecture and wardrobe were retained.
  20. I'm a bit burned out on modding after working on syracuse but i reckon I can churn out some unit models in a day or two.
  21. Hellenic outliers are always a good option, gives devs room to mess around. Now for a faction to be added, that's tricky as the candidate civ needs to have a mirror like polish.
  22. @Sundiata So going with the modern interpretation that this was a later seleucid enterprise, its safe to say that this temple is a prime example of the monarchs utilizing familiar iconography and architecture to the area in order to mitigate the culture clash.
  23. @Sundiata I saw a few pictures of that temple and its a very odd one, might it have been a rehabilitated "native" temple?
